A few days ago, this post was made in the Comic Strips instance with this comic:

Opinions were divided. Notably, two different moderators of the instance had a less than friendly discussion with the original uploader.

Over the past few days, @[email protected]/@[email protected] has banned multiple users, blocked entire comms, and now defederated from Anarchist.Nexus over their anti-Zionist stance.

This extreme overreaction and general power trippin' bastard behavior stems from Lemmy.world's history of pro-Zionist views. And now MrKaplan is seeking out the flimsiest pretext to to enact his own personal vendetta.

Since this developement is just the most recent in a long conflict, we have to zoom out a bit.

The first event in this conflict I can remember was nearly a year ago when a user accused [email protected] of supporting "zionism" (meaning supporting the genocide in Gaza), which lead to feddit-org's mods defending their mods and instance. Some minor instances defeterated feddit-org which in return lead to feddit-org defederating them.

The db0-admins proposed an instance policy update on Zionist accounts. Following this, the second major event in this conflict was the admin of dbzer0 accusing feddit-org of being zionist (pro-genocide) 2 months ago. The post contained a vote about banning 7 feddit-org-communities. The majority of db0-users agreed to banning those communities, but concern was raised against defederating feddit-org as a whole.

After that vote, feddit-org as a whole has been defederated by db0.

I don't know who's making all these alts, but the only person that post and this post have in common is Draconic, and this whole harassment alt thing sure is taking attention off of his moderation decisions...

FlyingSquid is a Zionist who actively censors content critical of israel. In the past this was using false claims of anti-semitism but after acquiring mod powers he has started banning anti-israel posters.

After acuiquiring mod powers on /WorldNews FlyingSquid bans me by making up lies about defending the usage of child soldiers which never happened:

When pointed out the he was lying the crybully instantly paints himself as the victim who is "about to be insulted". FlyingSquid is clearly trying to bait an insult to use as an excuse for a reban:

Despite not being insulted, the crybully still claims he was. The Zionist victim complex is a sight to behold. He now demands to be acknowledged for his abuse of mod powers likely hoping to bait an insult:

Here's how I see it:

• Some person posts criticism of Kagi
• CEO of Kagi emails the person saying, I think some of what you said is factually inaccurate and I'd like a chance to talk to you about why
• Person angrily refuses to do that
• Mod of !techtakes publicly posts screenshots in his sub instead, calls the CEO an unhinged narcissist and his email a "harangue"
• People come in the thread and say, actually what the CEO said sounds "totally hinged" and the rude response seems un called for
• Mod starts banning people and deleting comments of people who are arguing with him, leaving up his own side of the conversation.
