What's with the schism between lemmygrad and beehaw?

Lemmygrad is full of unhinged tankies. I just automatically assume anyone posting there is a child, either physically or mentally.

Beehaw have their own rules, and that's fine. While not my cup of tea, I won't tell them how to run their instance. I respect those rules when I post to their communities. I particularly enjoy their technology and gaming communities.

Other instances are pretty alright. The vibe on lemmy.world is pretty great, which is why it's my home instance.

Edit: inb4 this comment also gets brigaded by tankies chomping at the bit to call me a "liberal"

TikTok video showing DoorDash driver cursing at customer over 25% tip sparks online debate over tipping culture in the U.S.

You're looking too far into this, my guy. This has nothing to with wealth and power and everything to do with expecting a minimum level of politeness from people I'm paying to provide me with a service. I've had bad days at work, and I've never lashed out at a customer like he has.

The only entitled person in this exchange is the delivery driver who felt that a 20% tip wasn't enough.

Earnest Discussion: It has been 3 days and there is virtually no activity here.

Honestly, this is a pretty slow time for PoE content too. We're mid-league, and we just got some cinematic PoE2 trailers without much substance to them. People who really want to discuss PoE will slowly filter their way into Lemmy over the next couple of months, and I'm sure there will be a spike in activity when the next league drops.

I would rather mods stick to their guns. Short term is may be messy, but I think it's best for the longterm health of the community to drop Reddit.
