I love it when a mad man unilaterally starts wars in my name without my consent.

You can’t replace the battery in Lego’s Smart Bricks — and many of its sensors aren’t available yet
wow, so just more trash and waste for the sake of making toys AI integrated...?
I'm all for giving kids the tools of the future early (with limits)
but why do we have to make it disposable? (profit, I know, its rhetorical guys).

Report: Meta will train AI agents by tracking employees' mouse, keyboard use
In 100 years AI is going to do big swipes with the mouse randomly at 4 minute intervals, and no one is going to know why.

Benjamin Netanyahu treated for early-stage prostate cancer
I feel like anyone with aggressive or late stage cancer should not be allowed to decide whether a nation goes to war or not.
You have a warped set of perceptions once death is knocking on your door.
JK it says early stage, kick him out for war crimes then.

PieFed Users By Day Growth
So wait, is this just people through Piefed, or does this encompass Lemmy and like the other members of the fediverse?
Sorry for the dumb question, I'm from Reddit and tbh don't quite understand this service.

Spez (Reddit CEO) just put out an announcement talking about how they'll verify bots vs humans. Get ready for a wave of new users into the Fediverse pretty soon!
I wonder if we will actually ever see the true numbers, I have a feeling they will realize that SOOOOOOOOOOO many of the users are bots and be forced to pull a shwitter.
We will see what happens, but I won't hold my breath for actual transparency.

Major investor is 'shocked and sad' that the games industry is 'demonizing' generative AI

Right?
AI companies stole the collective knowledge, creative juices, and artistic endeavors of the internet, which was shared freely to expand human knowledge and artistry.
Now they wonder why we aren't willing to pay for their repackaged and pillaged slop...
I see a world where knowledge slowly gets hidden behind the choke hold of AI answers and paywalled sources. How do we hold the line?

HA I've been so brainwashed by 2025 I see the word smart and stupidly assume AI.
Looks like its just sensors.
I actually think this makes it worse because it doesn't really bring a whole lot to the table from a STEM-toy perspective, although I guess learning to utilize sensors could be good for some kids if there is any type of granular control.
I grew up with Lego Mindstorms, so it can definitely inspire.

Was gonna say, LG does the same thing.
So far my only TV that hasn't forced things in an absurd way has been my Sony... Guess what Sony just did? (Sold their Bravia TV line to TCL...)

‘Our coverage is not truthful’: How Israel is censoring reporting on the war
Reply in thread
I feel like the question is about balance though, yes they should censor and obfuscate geographic, but is this being used a shield to prevent any reporting, or is this actually being used for safety?
It seems like the article is implying it is being applied to silence, not protect.

Also drugs.
I always said as long as crypto can be used to buy drugs, it will have value.
