I'd say 8G is fine until you open a browser.

Moscow oil refinery hit by drone attacks is unlikely to resume production this year, sources say
I saw a post on here a few days ago saying the whole attack on Moscow was a PR stunt by Ukraine. That they were dropping kerosene to generate black smoke. I guess that was all bs

Why have a big gap underneath the graph? It is totally normal to adjust the axis to fit the data. This isn't a conspiracy, it's standard math.

My Pixel 10 Pro feels just as fast as my iPhone 16 Pro. I feel like they are both good phones and other than specifications on paper and benchmarks online I wouldn't know the Pixel was that much inferior.
Sure I don't game or do video editing on a phone so maybe I'm just not the target audience but for general use I think Google have done a good job.

Taking a shower every day is excessive.
My daughter is 18 and doesn't need to shower every day. She has no discernable body odour that I know of and she hardly sweats.
I'll be smelly by 4pm having had a shower at 7am. Deodorant can only do so much. I work from home at a desk.
Everyone is different.

What Filesystem?
Ext4 being "old" shouldn't put you off. It is demonstratively robust with a clear history of structure integrity. It has immense popularity and a good set of recovery tools and documentation. These are exactly what you are looking for in a filesystem.
I'm not saying EXT4 is the best for your requirements, just that age of a file system is like fine wine.

Well, that seems bad
This isn't a UK thing, it's the entire developed world.
Multiple US states are considering it. Chat control in the EU is still a possibility. China and Russia already put efforts in restricting access.
Those in power are always trying to find a way to screw us over.

Is ext.to dangerous? It caused librewolf to ask for firewall permissions
Reply in thread
Windows asks for this permission when a program needs to accept unsolicited incoming network requests. Not something a browser normally requires.

Google is requiring mandatory developer verification for all Android apps in 2026
The situation has changed recently.
Google backed down from this being mandatory this week. There will be an option to allow side loaded apps but it will require a 24h delay to enable.

Great! I like getting tracked by 766 third parties! thanks Outlook
Reply in thread
God can you imagine.
768 collapsed areas for each one. You have to expand that area and click the small slider with a 3 second UI freeze each time you do.
Then at the end when you click apply, you get a spinning wheel with "Applying your choices" that seems like it has timed out.
