Texas Hispanics swung hard to Trump. A new poll shows they’re furious at his deportations
I am baffled someone actually didn't understand when a far-right white male politician says "illegals" they've always meant "people of color"

German business, politicians call for 5-year delay in climate targets
Mfers the real deadline was 20 years ago, we already irreversibly fucked up wild bees and many forests, you don't get to delay it anymore. In fact, be grateful deadline is not "tomorrow or go broke" (as it should be)

Uh, it's like comparing the best life you could have in Western Europe with the worst life you could have in American suburbs.
It's no different from comparing an American surgeon earning 400k yearly in Manhattan to a person surviving in Belarus or Albania. Same bias but flipped in opposite direction.
Both comparisons would be unfair.
I am not saying life is worse in the EU than in the US, but there are many better ways to argue that more logically using data.

Jesus fucking Christ.
We can all agree it's immoral, but it's also just plain stupidity.
Even if you are white supremacist "kill all people of color", you still need a professional military that's not wasting time massacring civilians and creating PR disasters daily, if you hope to win any wars at all.
Also "their place in history is settled": sorry to ruin your day but that's not how collective processing of historical trauma works, nor history as a science.

That's unfortunate, yet not a separate issue from animal farming. They are interconnected, and we can't fix one without fixing the other.
To get to the point where society pressures ruling class to ban airplanes despite best lobbying efforts, we need to shift the Overton window.
Right now, the Overton window is rather conservative, with most people considering any climate action that requires slightest drop in quality of life completely unacceptable.
Every successful radical climate action, including veganism, helps normalize idea of nature preservation over convenience in public consciousness, so movement can eventually take on more entrenched capital protected interests like jets.

I find this upsetting because of "this decision is final, this is settled".
He is presenting himself as way more significant than he is, either because of complete lack of self-awareness, or preemptive defensiveness against inevitable criticism he can't handle, or overcompensating for inability to cope they are on the losing side.
Neither has any semblance of EQ, emotional maturity or humility. These aren't the kinds of people who would rule in a fair, meritocratic system.

Reddit will require you to log in to use old.reddit.com
This is masks off moment for old.reddit. They have already done device fingerprinting, usage analytics, IP address retention, and cookies before, so not asking for email was rather symbolic, token privacy feature anyway. Removing it only confirms what's already been there for years.
Use redlib, it's nice. You can disable JavaScript and use it through Tor for complete security and anonymity, subscribe to subreddits, and it also has a lot of themes to customize your experience with.
And you can export your settings and subscriptions to import on another redlib instance anytime, so you are never locked in using only one instance forever.
