Teenager detained at Florida airport and accused of ‘skiplagging’ travel hack
He was detained for that? That’s fucked. But what else is new.

There’s only a handful of IMAX theatres in the world that can play this format. Most of them are digital.

AppStore Memmy app stopped working
Mine is working but some servers got hacked last night. Go to your account and hit edit and the save? That fixed it for me. They’re asking people to relogin and doing the edit and save thing seems to do the same thing.

My family got a new KitchenAid stove and I wanted to set a stop time for the oven while we went for a walk. I am able to do this on my shitty oven at our apartment.
I had to connect the stove to wifi, download an app, make an account, and link the stove. All to set a timer. Even then of course there was an error linking them.
Usually I wouldn’t have done that but I was really looking forward to the walk. I was one of the first adopters of Hue lights and used to be excited for smart home stuff. But this is so stupid.
Wondering if it’s some sort of data collection thing and also there’s no way a kitchen appliance company focuses on security and making their wifi connected devices secure.
So dumb.

I’ve just started to cut off feelings about it entirely - I can’t handle seeing this stuff everyday. I’m just resigned that it’s too late and live your life while you can.

Season 8 Episode 1 - The Impossible Stream [Discussion and Spoilers]
Not the best episode but not the worst! Honestly as far as reboots go I’m VERY happy with it. I’m sure they’ll find their footing!
I saw some people complaining that the voices weren’t the same but it’s been 24ish years since the pilot and they probably haven’t practiced in between the 10 year hiatus. Also Billy West is over 70 and Katey Sagal is 69! I couldn’t believe it. Seriously impressed how little the voices have changed if you take that stuff into account.
I’m looking forward to the next episode as it probably won’t be as meta and doesn’t have to address being revived after 10 years.

after using the App Store release of Memmy for 4-5 days, here are my notes on it.
I would love a way to have the ability to swipe to go back from anywhere on the screen. Apollo had it and it disabled the left swipe gestures but if I’m in bed sometimes it’s hard to reach the other side of the screen (first world problem I know).
