I think they'll be fine with that, your vote didn't get counted and they'll deal with the rest later

Valve Says The Companies Making RAM Give Them A Price And If They Say No, They ‘Never Talk To Us Again’

They'll just continue with artificial scarcity until they get sued or fined or something but won't be enough to offset the profits

What are you watching, and what do you recommend?
Reply in thread
Binged it over the weekend after knowing of it for weeks and getting several recommendations. It was very well done and very funny. Horror elements were done well also and enjoyed the finale and looking forward to more seasons.

TMobile is censoring lemmy.world posts (and maybe others)
This seems and sounds very bad but I would bet this is more of a result of filtering or anti spam protocols than active censoring. Could be several different companies or ISPs or datacenters it goes through since SMS is such an old and inefficient service. Best idea would be to switch to different messaging app that isn't whatsapps or use RCS

[Spoilers] I finally watched Hereditary
Man guess I'm in the minority for this on this forum but Hereditary is the pinnacle horror movie for me, I've seen it like 6 times and love it every single time. Doesn't resort to jump scares, acting is incredible and the movie is just a batshit thrillride the entire time. I think I'm different when I watch movies as I don't really care if something has done a similar concept before because usually the execution is different enough which it is here. Also this movie introduced the head banging possession scene thing, at least 3 movies this year and last have all had a similar scene.

What are some companies that deserve to be boycotted to death?
Comcast / Xfinity. Have been forced to use their services for years until a viable alternative arrived in my neighborhood, paid $110 a month for internet to be down at least 2 days a month when my wife and I both work from home. All calls and tickets and emails were met with "you're not using out router and we don't see issues on our side, sounds like a you problem".
Almost left for ancient Century Link pipe when internet was out for 17 hours one day, called 3 times and finally got a competent person on the line not saying the above. Instead said they had done maintenance in my neighborhood and when they sent someone out to look at the uplink it was magically working again. Filed for a service refund thing since it was way below the promised availability and I had to reschedule meetings because my hotspot was slow and they gave me a $1.35 refund to my $110 bill that month.

I've heard from Mexican friends it's meant more like "bitch" and IMO probably directed only at FIFA at this point

Still No Kings: Millions to Protest Trump On Saturday
Reply in thread
I've been at the other no kings protests and been emailing my senators and reps in NC almost every week for the last 4 months. They keep responding only with the Faux News false information but if they won't give in they I most certainly will not either. Ensure every week they and their staff have to face what they're doing.

some epstein files can be unredacted...The Trump administration is so bloody stupid they just highlighted the text in black in the pdfs, leaving all the text available underneath.
Reply in thread
They will take anything they can to convince themselves it's not real. A podcast I listen to with MAGA parents are now saying Trump is only in them because he was an informant and caught Epstein despite about 1000 cases to the contrary.
