if Canadians would sell them those drugs at costs far below what the American Pharma industry was charging.
The mail order pharmacies were charging Americans less than they would pay at home - and It caused a few shortages of some medications for Canadian patients.

7 -11 will quite literally scan the barcode on your ID / Driver’s licenses,
It's been a while since I've gone to a 7-11, but I don't remember them doing that.
What excuse do they have to scan (or even look at) your ID?

Woman flagged by ID scanner as nationwide 'public safety concern' after incident in Winnipeg bar
Many years ago I stopped going to bars that scanned people's ID.
Sure you can look at it to determine my age, but fuck no you don't get to take a picture of it or enter an image of my ID into some random computer.
Even beyond the bullshit this article is discussing, having pictures of my ID floating around in random places is a massive risk for identity fraud.

Who is the "Albert Pinto" the article is quoting?
The only person I can find by that name is a Spanish movie director, and I doubt that's who is posting on Twitter about Canada/USA trade negotiations...

but it's probably because they started calling themselves after the 3rd word in their countries name.
And the word "america" doesn't appear in the name of any other country on the continent(s), so it's really not as ambiguous as the pedantic "but we're all americans" commenters would suggest.

Looks like my 2019 Corolla is going to remain my car for a very long time.
From what I can find in my research, it seems to be the newest model that didn't get the tracker from the factory. (the hatchback variant did get the tracker in 2019, but the sedan didn't)

Politically, Carney needs to signal to voters that Trump is the reason we can't get a good deal, not the Liberals.
It also signals to other countries the futility of dealing with Trump, and that it is possible to stay strong and walk away from the Americans threats and buister.
It also demonstrates to anyone watching internationally that Canada can remain reasonable, reliable and diplomatic in our negotiations.

You can't really do anything diplomatic when the other side continually showcases they lack any respect for diplomacy whatsoever.
The Americans aren't the only ones to consider.
Everyone other country who Canada (and the USA) has a deal with, or is negotiating with is also watching.
They can see who is being reasonable and diplomatic, and they can see who is being a shit flinging monkey that can't be trusted.
