Device that can extract 1,000 liters of clean water a day from desert air revealed by 2025 Nobel Prize winner

The article explains that the system doesn't use power or any type of refrigerant, instead it uses a new type of material with large surface areas in a small package to capture/condense the water out of the air while utlizing wind and the sun to help accomplish its goal.

I would agree that up until now the only viable technology was a dehumidifier which takes great amounts of fossil fuel energy, but this isn't the case here.

'It's inhumane.' Despite how hot it is, Tennessee renters don't have a right to air conditioning

I think we got lazy with our designs once centralized air was mainstreamed. The house my father grew up in the 1950s was designed like you mentioned. It would only allow light through during certain times of year/day with its overhanges and louvers and it jad more windows which allow more air flow....now according to him it was still a miserable place to live during the 1950s Texas summers....

Turntable!

Everyone here going on about "take us too" and not one comment on how the Danes are going to logistically supply Danish Pastries to California without impacting their economy. Crips you'd have to float them through the Panama Canal. They'd be stale before they hit port. /s

Aldgate Pump, London, UK, 1927

Tasty

Served by one of London's many underground streams, the water was praised for being "bright, sparkling, and cool, and of an agreeable taste". These qualities were later found to be derived from decaying organic matter from adjoining graveyards, and the leaching of calcium from the bones of the dead in many new cemeteries in north London through which the stream ran from Hampstead.

AIPAC

AIPAC was founded in 1954 by Isaiah L. Kenen, a lobbyist for the Israeli government, partly to counter negative international reactions to Israel's Qibya massacre of Palestinian villagers that year.

Almost like there is a common theme here....

Hate to break it to them but that part of Texas has had a majority south east Asian population since long before these chucklefucks were a glint in the milkman's eye. What a bunch of losers.
