It’s worse than that. If you read the Verge article they’re reporting on an article from another publication. It’s a story of a story of a story.

Home Assistant is open source and self-hosted and doesn’t require internet to operate. The z-wave devices connect directly to the device running Home Assistant. If you want Home Assistant to be private it absolutely can be.

The one in the US is based on teppanyaki. You sit at a table with a large metal griddle while someone cooks for you in a very performative way. Usually squirting sake in your mouth and shooting fire out of onions.

I've recently turned into a blocker.
I mainly block accounts that seem like they have an agenda. Usually new accounts they post a lot about one very controversial topic. Likewise, I block accounts that are concern trolling or arguing in bad faith. There are so many bots and bad faith actors on the internet I feel like you should be blocking them because they don’t deserve our attention.

Smart glasses and socializing
My first time seeing anything about the meta Rayban glasses was some guy sexually harassing my friend at work as a “prank video.” He used the glasses as a secret recording device then posted it on facebook.

A smaller, personally curated music collection is far better than unlimited streaming
I mainly listen to my music collection from my Plex server, but I’ll also pop in a CD on occasion and listen from start to finish. It can honestly be so refreshing to have the music experience be so physical without a screen in the way. I agree with your feelings on mainstream streaming services. You have access to a lot of music but it really discourages you from traveling deeper.

PHEVs do indeed typically have the output of their engines connected to the wheels through the drive train. You’ve described a range extender. Vehicles with a range extender do not have the gas engine connected to the drive train directly.

I’ve seen some fast food, retail, warehouse (Amazon), etc. have weekly pay, but the classic pay structure is every 2 weeks for hourly or twice a month for salary. Gives the payroll department time to make sure everything has been entered correctly.

It’s a skill. It’s like once you figure out how to make sure everything gets done at the same time then you can start working on cleaning as you go. It’s one of those things that seems obvious if you cook a lot, but impossible if you’re just starting.
