Promting to copy is art...I swear.

Almost everyone in my family keeps sending me AI generated documentary shit all the time. Problem is bets I can tell only 50% of it factual. Every single video in my family, I'm tired of debunking boss. And despite proving more than a few dozen times, that it's not 100% reliable data, they are content in accepting half truth and half lies for at least the half is true. And it's getting in my nerves. So yes fuck Gen AI artists. They can rot in hell.

I'm slightly less mad at pure art promoters at least they're not misibforming. But I'm still mad because art is human expression to me. A human has to decide every single stroke of an image, some speak more than others, but everything is intentional. Mistakes and all.

With Gen AI there is no active decision making in most of the image, prompt was active decision sure, but the details, how each curl of hair should be, or how two colors should blend, 99% of prompter artists are not making that minute decisions. And that to me is just expressionnless. So I might hate them less, but they too can rot in hell.

Yes but the problem is finding out stuff from label what it could taste like. I've had 5 out 5 chilli stuff that tasted relatively quite normal to me, problem was I was craving something spicy. So I would appreciate some kind of universal spice level. I don't mind if I am on 3/10 or something. Just don't want to see 5/5 chilli taste mild.

Problems with rating like that would be people like this colleague of mine. He refuses to accept my spice tolerance is moderate like mine, he will go and buy stuff 5/5 chilli so he can feel he can eat spicy. And I suspect these 5/5 mild items are market towards people like him.

Yeah time to kick him out was when he was 20ish +/- 1 year. Since you get a very good idea by that point if that adult is able to take care of himself. I have 3 people in my life (2 cousins, 1 family friend). Who are in that exact situation. I knew even when they were 20 that they're not given the right skillet to ever be independent. And have no motivation to be independent on their own. Now they're all in their 30s. I always their parents talking to my parents about how to make them independent and refuse to still cut them cold turkey.

I mean parents fucked up for sure, but it's not too uncommon unfortunately. All I ever remind those parents is, I will not help someone who isn't trying to help themselves. I'm not even close to them. But 2 out of 3 have tried asking me for money.

I like the interface, and have been a user of the reddit version for years...

It's cool to hate it, for a lot of people who moved to fediverse early, it's a matter of FOSS software and an ideology. Everyone has a flexing point in their ideology, early adopters of fediverse can't be flexible at closed source products. I personally draw my flexing boundary at large capitalist companies. Sync is developed by one guy and tbh with a way pretty UI than any of the FOSS software has (my personal opinion) so I like it. And I use it. But I understand the ideological point of FOSS everything, but I don't understand people who want FOSS everything but they contribute nothing.

I think they explained it, the reason they could afford it was because Monica's grandmother lived there, and they've been paying 1950s rent because of rent control or something. Something similar for phoebe as well. Anyway show never explains how joey/chandler/Ross can afford those big houses.
