Majority of Israeli Jews ‘support the removal of Palestinians from Gaza’
I tried, but failed, to find the poll Loewenstein referred to when he was quoted saying: “There was a poll just this week that found 70-80 percent of Israeli Jews support...", regarding what the title claims. Please share if you have it, I find it hard to believe this poll exists.

why do mastodon toots have more boosts then favorites?
I think it is because on Mastodon favorites don't mean much besides showing some appreciation for the post. On the other hand, the Twitter algorithm would make posts with more likes more visible, but not as much as retweeting. So if you want to make a Mastodon post more visible you have to boost it

I consider email (and snail mail) a significantly more essential service than social media. Email service providers starting to block each other is much more likely to have a negative effect on my life than being disconnected from some friends, influencers or current news

Thanks! Seems close enough. I would still take anything coming out of Channel 14 with a grain of salt. It is considered to be Bibi's propoganda channel 🤷

Elon Musk channels Office Space with email to federal workers ('What would you say you do here?')
It’s not like they are going to read it. They just learned from the last round of mass-firings that they will get sued if they lie about firing people for performance reasons. Now they will have plausible deniability when lying about firing people for performance reasons.
“The complaint filed late Wednesday says the employees were sent standardized notices of termination, drafted by OPM, that falsely stated that the terminations were for performance reasons.“ - https://apnews.com/article/federal-employees-firing-lawsuit-trump-probation-unions-4a9384c21e408df85ca17dfac5b9dc93
