Honestly the Lead Actress Category was stacked this year. Emma Stone played a very similar role but was far more complex. Why are people also forgetting that America Ferrera was also nominated ? Best Director is also a smaller pool than Best Picture where it was nominated. It looks bad on optics but if people actually watched all the movies they would know that each of the actresses nominated deserved it . It’s not like they gave the nomination to a man lol

This game is just so fucking good. A little slow in the beginning but once your powers open up it’s a blast. This is worth the price of admission on the Maze alone. Also if you’re trying to pick up AW2, this will definitely enhance it.

End of franchise films ? Not even close. What I think you’re seeing now is the floor is much lower for franchise films than before (especially with comic book movies). You need more than “it’s a Marvel movie” to have people go out and come see. The top movies of the year are still either sequels to franchises or based on existing IP.

I hope all the raving from DC Heads about the Flash was due to this being the reboot they needed so audiences weren’t confused with a new Superman etc.

To be honest it wasn’t a bad movie personally. There are definitely worse movies out there. I think this most likely failed as even both hardcore and casual fans know they’re rebooting the universe and Ezra’s issues were far more public than DC realized. I don’t think DC had much of a choice as all the shooting was already completed before all the crazy shit he did came out.

I feel like over the span of a few months , DeSantis went from the golden child to carry the torch from Trump to a one trick pony candidate of no substance focused on “wokeism” (whatever the fuck that is).

It feels like the same Reddit crowd from when I was in college (2011). So I’m guessing we skew towards millennials, early Gen Z folks. Definitely more tech oriented than other platforms that’s for sure. Also just as liberal as Reddit. There is a much larger focus on privacy here as well.

Personally for me :

Xbox: Hi-Fi Rush , I love rhythm games and hack and slashes and this was the perfect combo. A lot of heart was poured into this game with the devs and I wish it had a bit more recognition .

PS5: GoW Ragnarok, great follow up to my favorite game last generation with a very satisfying conclusion. Was a close one between this and Spiderman 2 where both games were more of a refinement of the original but this had way more content.

PC: Spec Ops: The Line - Great story, decent mechanics for a fairly old game and the performance was wonderful playing on max settings at 144 fps on my handheld.

The Halo Trilogy I truly believe is the best video game music. The original from CE instantly became iconic and felt pivotal to the game. Then each iteration tweaked the formula in a way that represented the respective game. The heavy rock Breaking Benjamin style from Halo 2 represents the rebellious nature of the story (and honestly it represented gaming culture at the time). Then the music really matured with a heavy piano theme for Halo 3. The score made you feel the sacrifice of the characters and us saying goodbye to a brilliant story.

Our aversion to nuclear energy PR wise has been a disaster. It’s very difficult for the general public to fully buy into nuclear power with all the misinformation spread about it. Hope we start to slowly veer back towards it.
