Australian man and his dog survive months at sea eating raw fish and rainwater
But will he survive the rental market and high Woolies prices?

What if solving interstellar travel isn't about figuring out faster than light propulsion, but how to extend our own lives?
Reply in thread
I think most of us would like the possibility that WE can travel between the stars, not some incredibly disconnected OTHER.
For example, I would like to see Niagara Falls, not send someone there that I’ll never ever connect with again.

What does your 'home' instance really matter?
Reply in thread
I recently signed up and didn’t know where to park myself. So I got accounts on both lemmy.world and beehaw.org.
From lemmy.world I’ve added to a few of the beehaw subs that I’m subscribed to there. But I can tell you I see different content in my lemmy.world feed.
Don’t know why. A delay in the content making it over from beehaw to lemmy? But my home feed certainly looks different in both (even subscribing as closely is I can to the same feeds).
So for now I’ll stick with both and see how the dust settles.

‘More than just a supermarket’: Why Woolworths is building apartments
Wonder if renters will get 10% off their online shop, just to be bait-and-switched into in-store only?

Given they way they linked directly to all the things they say they despise, my guess is you can’t turn the algorithm off and this is a troll post.

How different is it from 3? There were a lot of complaints when it first came out. But I was wondering how much of that was just people being a bit overzealous.

Voyager might become a native App in the future! (sort of)
Reply in thread
Ug that sucks.
For the data point, I don’t have that issue. Not sure what the difference is. I’m using an iPhone 12 mini and iOS updated to the latest. Voyager works really well for me. Remarkably well.
Clearly it’s a problem many are having based on the upvotes. Hope it can be fixed.

Any advice for someone with IT band pain?

A good physio will not only massage etc, but should give you a strength/flexibility plan, which ultimately is where the solution will be (building support and resilience). They should also be able to provide some insight into the cause, and hence adjustments in how you run/train that will help as well.
It’s sucky, I know. Good luck!

Can we talk about how bad the mobile app is?
It doesn’t work too bad for me. But I find it super annoying that, depending on which UI element was last in focus, you have to double tap a tab to get it to switch.
I was able to get people to reproduce this on the iPad with a totally fresh vault. Doesn’t seem to be something they’re interested in figuring out or fixing. :(

Yep. Also a mobile customer but my 6 month plan is up in a few months and I’ll be closing that line (was a second esim line anyway).
If I’m being forced to go in-store might as well save a lot more money and use Aldi.

My main line is with amaysim, but I’m considering jumping to boost mobile. Have you looked at them? I felt they were better than both amaysim and Woolies, for how I use my phone.

0 Celsius is the freezing point for water, 100 Celsius the boiling point (at sea level). Renormalised from Kelvin. Not arbitrary at all.
