Tl,Dr: He was an Austrian physician who won the noble prize in medicine in 1927 for discovering that you could treat the then incurable disease of Syphilis by contracting Malaria. The rising body temperature from Malaria would kill syphilis causing bacteria, which in turn would be treated with quinine after the syphilis had been treated.

Unfortunately, dude was also a Nazi sympathiser, keeping up with the trend of the time.

Tldr: In 1970s Japan, Mitsuyasu Maeno was a Japanese pornstar with Ultranationalist leanings. He was disillusioned by Yoshio Kodama, a fellow ultranationalist and underworld figure, when it was discovered that he played a part in the Lockheed bribery scandal of 1976. Thinking that Yoshio betrayed the country by consorting with American interests and dishonouring the Samurai code, he decided to get revenge by flying a plane, Kamikaze style, into Yoshio's mansion. Yoshio however survived because he was in another room, but Maeno perished.

Genghis Khan once sent a caravan of Mongol merchants to trade with the neighbouring Khwarezmian empire, amid growing tensions between the two. When the caravan reached the city of Otrar, the governor there seized all of the merchandise and put the merchants to death under suspicion that they were spies.

Genghis Khan then sent envoys to the court of Shah Muhammed II to demand the punishment of the governor, but these envoys were humiliated and killed as well. Genghis Khan, considering ambassadors as a sacred role, disengaged from his ongoing war against the Jin dynasty in China and marched his forces towards the Khwarezmian empire, subsequently annexing it into the Mongol empire.
