Not for some apps; besides, we should exert pressure to make Google Play Services not a core part of aosp.

Reddit's Ban Evasion Detection Is Fucking Orwellian

I'll take Things that make your fingerprint unique, Alex:
Chameleon is a nice browser extension (it does some nasty things on sites that do try to assert that you are human, or that is it truly you, and you can get banned or blocked so use it with that in mind) that tries to hide some of those things, but maybe they look for it in your browser and default to other techniques... I understand this has been son effort on your part and that some of the things I listed do not apply to you in your last attempts, but maybe some of the others do. Or maybe this is a signal for you to leave that cesspool, maybe.

What problems does Linux have to overcome to get more users
I think it is its image of lack of stability and features; I know there are out there stable distros and almost every well known program has a Linux version, but the image that Linux has had through the years is not that. If Linux overcomes this and gets a better reputation, it would be a great weight lifted for the road ahead of the OS. I hope Proton breaks through the mainstream public and Linux gets more exposed and known out there

I really dont see it as bad news, probably people that still uses reddit sees it as a blow to piracy or something along the lines.
I really hope Reddit keeps on its road to enshittification so more people realizes what kind of shit hole it is and more open to try the fediverse they would be.
If Reddit keeps on this track its only a matter of time till the fediverse gets a proper place among the broad public

I think I know all but one:
Its a nice shirt with a good message and good intentions, but I would really want these things to include references to regular people too, not just almost exclusively sexual related minorities; I mean, the message is one of unity and is not related to minorities specifically, if you want to talk about inclusion these messages would get a deeper effect in society if it really included references to bigger, broader groups of people, like men, or to other minorities usually not included in these contexts like people with disabilities, for example

Paying without Google: New consortium wants to remove custom ROM hurdles creating an open source alternative to Google Play Integrity
Reply in thread
There are already alternate app stores, and alternate OS and phones that are functional and niche. The real issue is that the Android people knows is not open source, AOSP is the thing open sourced, but thats far from what we use on a daily basis as Android, and Google makes sure every time it can to put hurdles between functionality and open source, some of those hurdles can and are being worked on, some others are out of reach for the open source community

I just created this post because I learned about Gloria Martinez, a case that was just weeks before Alcasser and went silent after November 1992
For me another case that struck me was Marta del Castillo

Morality is that group of norms defined by a group or society at a given moment. Ethics is the study of morality.
The OP didn't mix up the terms; it was your parent comment. It costs us nothing to not just criticize

AOSP is Android in barebones so apps "work", the thing is that most apps need services that are developed by Google on top of AOSP (google maps api, notificacion services, google pay) and that are hard to replace because they need costly infraestructure or years of constant development. On top of that Google is promoting/forcing the use of Google Play Protect so more apps need that layer now
