Steam's new disclaimer reminds everyone that you don't actually own your games, GOG moves in for the killshot: Its offline installers 'cannot be taken away from you'
I love how this article takes shots at steam despite valve being THE company holding the bar up in the gaming space.
I could list examples but I honestly don't even think I need to

Born from the tragedy of gun violence, this program teaches children how to stop a wound from bleeding out | CNN
Lol they'd rather teach 5 year olds how to bandage a gun wound then legislate military weapons.
Then "oh wow these gay librarians are ruining our children's innocence!" LOL what???

Canada likely sitting on the largest housing bubble of all time: Strategist - BNN Bloomberg

Right so we just implement socialist policies in housing.
I mean, water, power, education, healthcare are all heavily regulated or controlled by the government. Why not housing? It is a basic human need after all more of a basic need than education (not saying education should change).

Video of Phoenix police using a Taser and punching deaf man with cerebral palsy under scrutiny
This story is insane to me, I dont know how these cops haven't been arrested.
They get called to a crime scene with the caller saying that a white man was being aggressive. They got there, asked the first white dude they saw what was going on, and then the white dude just pointed at a black dude and said the black guy stole his phone.
Despite the call literally being about an aggressive white dude, these cops immediately chase after this black guy, pull up and start yelling at him, tackle him and then start punching him within like 10 seconds of getting out of their truck.
Did not confirm any suspicions, didn't even talk to the black guy for one moment, and then afterwards they blow off his wife and never seem to think "jeez it's weird this guy who just stole a phone is using it to FaceTime someone while leisurely walking down the street".
This is so bad it has to be intentional malice. I just don't understand how a country can call itself land of the free and then have police do shit like this with no consequences.
The man was literally deaf, any normal sane person would have figured that out quickly.

Why do the majority of women still take their partner's last name?
I'm actually gonna be taking my girlfriend's last name. Mine sounds hella stupid and is also slang for an unflattering body part, I got bullied a lot for it growing up so I will spare my children and take her last name cause it sounds super fancy and cool.

I mean we have other studies that show kids who play video games usually are better at problem solving and fine motor controls.
Could be like you said, bad parents. Could also be that the content developed for mobile is somewhat mind numbing by design, most games are idle or just geared towards ads/in game purchases instead of game content. Apps tend to be easier to use and navigate as well.
Technology is obviously a powerful tool for both good and bad.
