The prices of these NFL games…nope.

Reply in thread

They used to be one of the cheapest before Dan Campbell's revolution, I went to a few matches when they were cheap, that's when I realized that I prefer to watch NFL games on the TV. Hockey, NBA and soccer are great live, but NFL you spend more time looking at the giant screen to see the details of each play

Necessities for small automotive help bag?

Reply in thread

Flix-a-flat and similar products should be an absolutely last resort. They can plug the tire pressure sensors and they will corrode the tire over time, and the patch itself will deteriorate quickly so it will be leaking air after a while and most shops won't touch a tire that has been plugged with one of those products

Truth

It's not an Instagram filter, it's exposure time. I set my camera on night mode and it took pictures during 4-10 seconds and the results were incredible

But even with the naked eye the lights were incredible last night

We arrived to the park before sunset and the biggest display was right when it became dark enough and a lot of people started arriving 2-3 hours later after watching pictures of other people and they were complaining that it didn't look as magical as the pictures. Lots of those people who arrived late were also using flashlights and just taking pictures of using their phones, not letting their eyes get used to the dark conditions or even really looking at the sky

S&P 500 rejects SpaceX, also blocking entry for OpenAI and Anthropic

Lololololol the president of my company went full AI shithead recently and he posted how it was a big deal that they were going public and he was talking about how he see it as a great investment to purchase shares and I asked how it was a great investment to get shares of a company severely in the red and my comment got deleted in a few minutes

Edit: we also got claude code for everyone in the company and they are monitoring token use (as in we need to use a lot) and I asked if they were concerned that the token price would rise if the board of directors of anthropic suddenly wanted to make a profit and that comment also got deleted (this was in a virtual townhall so we can ask stuff, usually they just ignore the ones they don't want to answer but they were actually deleting them this time)

Its actually because I'm a noob 😓

Many years ago I made a library for Arduino to control an 8x8 LED matrix to display running text. It was not very clean but I like it enough to upload it to the forums (I couldn't find anything similar). One week later it was complely different to what I uploaded and it was super efficient and a bunch of people added new functions and availability but my name still appeared as a main contributor. Of course I put it on my CV and showed it to my professors!

Microsoft AI CEO Puzzled by People Being "Unimpressed" by AI

My cousin just finished his MBA from a big college, he is so proud that he used AI for most of his assignments, he used 3 out 4 subscriptions to make it "more human" and "not mistakes" and so they couldn't detect it easily

He said that everybody in his courses was using AI and that most group discussions were about which AI is better, so it makes sense that those managers are so excited about AI, because it was able to do their "meaningless" jobs so they think it can do anyone's job, but he doesn't see the irony that he would be the first to be replaced
