Configure your keyboard, but before you select your wifi network press Shift+(Fn)+F10 to open Command Prompt.

Type in the following command and press enter. Your computer will reboot: oobe\bypassnro

After the reboot, configure your keyboard and location settings, and click the option at the bottom of the page to say that you don’t want to connect to the internet

Click the link on the next page to “Continue with limited setup”, then follow the prompts to enter a username and password.

I'm just here to satisfy my confirmation bias, but my question all along has been this: how does Meta simultaneously satisfy their claims of both E2EE and content moderation on WhatsApp? I can't say that I've done anything even close to a deep dive on the topic, but those two things seem mutually exclusive.

1. While the first amendment protects you from being required to give up your phone's pass code, there's no protection against someone just holding the phone up to your face or fingerprints to unlock it.

2. While your phone is never totally impenetrable, it is significantly harder to access in its BFU state (before first unlock). Most commercially available cracking tools will only work if the phone is in it's AFU state (after first unlock).

I'll be the first to admit that it's reductive, but I can't help but think of this every time anyone brings up a single unified standard, no matter the technology.

Water and hand soap, unless they really need to be cleaned right now. I used to use a microfiber cloth, but I ran into the same problems as you. Soap and water will allow you to get oil from your hands and face off, as well as water spots and whatever else might be on there, and it's gentle enough that it doesn't hurt or scratch the lenses. When I put my glasses back on after cleaning them like this, It's a Whole New World starts playing in my head.

This is the reason to use a VPN. Not to protect your identity, or to watch region-locked content, but to remove the need to blindly trust developers to always use best practice, and/or blindly trust the strangers that you share public networks with.

I dont see it mentioned here, but I went with a 75" Spectre earlier this year. I had a 40" Spectre that was given to me third- hand, and I only replaced it because it was too small for the new place I moved into. Spectre doesn't seem to even offer smart TV, and I wanted to support that decision. The only potential downside that you may see is the lack of a 4k offering, but that wasn't something I care about.

Requiring the use of their own app is only marginally better than not supporting it at all. I try to minimize the number of apps pn my phone, and banking apps are prime examples of a use case that can be completely fulfilled in a browser. Even if I used the app, I would prefer to be prompted for non-biomotric MFA each time I sign in anyway.

I think its intended to line up with the iOS and iPadOS naming scheme. They pooped out an update earlier this year to bring all three OS's up to the same version number as well.

This is great! Now to figure out how to do this by policy. I've been banging my head into so many walls during the past 2 days, trying to figure out if Mozilla has an .admx that will allow me to turn this off for devices via CSP, or via custom OMA-URI.

I spent some time this week working on a script remediation to remove OneDrive photos from my orgs devices. I went to test it, and it reported a success without the need for remediation. I checked around, and it looks like Microsoft has started removing it from our devices. Not a sniff of any acknowledgement from them, though.
