Christina Ricci shared a post shaming Jimmy Fallon for having Conor McGregor on his show
I'll just leave this here. https://youtu.be/g0MZSmfEeTY
And I'll say, shaming Fallon is useless. Maybe shaming Questlove could work, but I'm beginning to have my doubts.

So only profitable things have value?

So, I'm a little lost. You think AI isn't useful because it isn't generating profits? Or you think it's not useful because of how it distills information and presents it in a chat interface (which was the only point I made)?

The interface is friendly. Agreed.

I'm doing my part
Set aside the asinine idea that those cups were "paper." Absolutely nobody has a choice in what McDonalds serves them. McDonald's stocks what it thinks is profitable. And zero people falsely believe they're "saving the planet" by consuming McDonald's products.

Turns out distilling all the world's information into a friendly interface is worth something

political star wars
Star Wars is not exactly subtle or full of nuance. It's pulp, and it wears that badge with unironic, cinematic pride.
It is the spiritual successor to the 1930s Saturday morning serials of bold archetypes, primary-colored morality, and breakneck pacing where the stakes are always "the fate of the galaxy" and the villains wear literal black masks. It doesn't ask you to deconstruct the socioeconomic subtext of a spice mine.

Grok floods X with sexualized images of women and children
Grok has no agency. Elon played a heavy role in the design of the tool, promotes and profits off its use, and has failed to stop users from producing this material with what can only be considered as a feature of his software

SpaceX is an infrastructure company. Deeply dependent on government good will and contracts. It leases it's data center compute to actual AI companies.

404: Room Not Found
We had a costume contest at work and the room voted for the guy who wrote "404 costume not found" with sharpie on a white T-shirt. People went full out cosplay, but the gen pop rewarded the slacker. Lost some faith that day

You Don’t Look Like a Gamer: On Toxicity, Gatekeeping, and Women Who Share Their Gaming Lives Online (my article)
If this happens to a celebrity posting about a 20 year old Nintendo game system, I can only imagine what it's like for your average female logging into modern competitive shooter.
Gamergate never went away. It was the precursor to the youthful fadcisti, in many ways. We need women in these spaces to help diffuse the malignant culture. They'll remain targets of harassment tho, so it's up to everyone to police misogyny, and racism for that matter, too.

Vaultwarden, no question. When I used KeePass, I had Synology Drive which worked well to sync.

I'm still employed and I see myself employed (at least in that company) for a foreseeable future.
Hmm, well, ok. Moving on then

What does that number meaningful represent as DeepSeek doing well? I don't understand the question
They can afford to lose more money on this? Yes They have lower operating costs? Yes They have a better way to make money of their users? They are not as profit motivated as their competition
I don't think you understand Deepseek's role in the market. It's to intentionally undercut US providers.
