YSK - (bigger) straws are often designed to make you drink more, faster. Get a smaller diameter set of stainless steel drinking straws no greater in diameter at the opening than 1/4 inch, in*stead*

Just bought a new set and I'm back to my glory days of being able to sip anything thoughtfully, slowly languorously (—more like langloriously—), and much less addictively.

I get to enjoy my drinks longer and saving money on overconsumption. Its good to have a little friction and slightly work for it a little ;)

Its far more satisfying especially with anything carbonated or rich.

Much much much better for pacing urself. Get them in a fun color or something easier on the eyes like black or dark grey/blue

Edit: please dont use them for noseclams (cocaine). Best stick with your friendly neighborhood $5 CAD, whatever € note. Dont invest in USD

Does throwing out the boxes from things purchased (Costco mainly) make it harder or any difference if I ever need to return them?

I generally dont like to return things but for example I bought a Dyson vacuum from Costco online and I love it but ive been resistant to throwing out the box (already threw out all the internal cardboard stuffing tho) for some reason.

I think my logic is that not having the original pzckaging and or/box it came in makes it more difficult or even impossible to return but I have no evidence for thos weird belief. Ive always just kept packing until i was forced by space constraints to drop them but that hasnt overlapped with any actual return experience I've had

What are some odd pleasures?

Like things that are oddly very satisfying?

horking a loogie

I dont know the proper term for this but its basically when you're sick and you have muscous and you like sort of snort then the huge "loogie" ends up in your mouth somehow and then spitting that out in a way you can examine the specimen.

Also when you have a horrible (productive) cough and you finally cough/hork up a massive loogie that was like in your throat or diaphragm or whatever

What do you put on your breakfast sandwich?

A breakfast sandwich usually consists of at a minimum:

  • bagel or english muffin
  • egg
  • optional - extra - some kind of meat like bacon or sausage

On my already admittedly loud and dressed up sandwich (just made a batch earlier today), I like:

  • EVERYTHING BAGEL (all the seeds and stuff)
  • CREAM-CHEESE on the bagel both sides
  • SALTED BUTTERon the bagel both sides
  • GUACAMOLE on the bagel both sides, maybe some in the middle
  • EGG (brown) -> omelette evenly split up into 7 portions for 7 days of the week or worth of breakfasts
  • SALSA covering up all the yellow of the egg
  • HASHBROWN/potato patty
  • maybe some BRUSCHETTA to get that tomato complimenting potato even tho thats covered by the salsa already

Pairs fantastically with an English Breakfast tea (black, also taken black) and Pea Milk 🤘

[please list what they are about topicwise] Do you have a favored podcast you like to listen to while cleaning or cooking?

Please outline what each podcast is in terms or subject or genre, it helps narrow down to what people will be interested in and what to take a closer look at

I love Behind the Bastards with Robert Evans which tells the backstories of the awful people and institutions and practices that are evil, psycho/sociopathic, and often of current topical interest.

I also enjoy The Dollop which "tells stories of people and events of American history with Dave Anthony and his repulsive sidekick, Gary Reynolds)

The sheer evil and craziness of the bastards they focus on actually gets me pumped up and focused on the task i set for myself as a condition of treating myself or giving myself permission to listen and hang out :)

Evil people tend to be outsizedly productive so a little bit (the good bit) rubs off on me

About to cook up an 18 egg omelette to cover my breakfast sandwiches for the week
