Not all heroes wear capes, or anything at all....
As amusing as this story is, I'd like to point out for those not from UK: the Daily Mail is worth less than used toilet paper and it is likely that this story is distorted and exaggerated to the point of fiction. This rag thrives on their outrageous stories being circulated like this on social media.

Best I can do is internet high five. I smacked my hand on the phone screen. You do the same.
Edit: I'm slapping the shit out of my phone screen. There are more than enough high fives to go around for all of you. Do NOT put any other part of your body to your phone screen as I ONLY consent to virtual high five and no other virtual hand activity.

Anon talks about Joe Rogan
Credulous is the word.
Under the guise of objectivity he gives all fringe opinions equal significance.

Poorly socialized rule
This is such an insightful way to articulate the issue. The conversation mostly revolves around individuals ("men are bad"). This is one of the few times that men are talked about in a way that acknowledges the system at play, that they are a product of an environment and society that has shaped them a certain way.
I've lost the podcast source that talked about "there is no good way to be a man currently". Even for someone who wants to be a better man, there aren't role models or celebrations of " good manliness". There's no positive road map, only a list of "don'ts" and stereotypes to avoid.

That's a very good question!
Almost everything is pretend though, unless we're talking about the basic laws of science (and even those change with context).
Language is "pretend". Words don't mean anything unless we all agree they mean something.
Valuing family is "pretend". We all agree to give family importance, but plenty of animals don't.
All laws are pretend. Country borders are pretend. Gender roles are pretend. Social position is pretend. Even my job is only my job because everyone agrees to give me responsibility in this role. Pretty much everything in society only works because of tacit agreement.

Dying boy, 15, gets wish: losing virginity [Chicago Sun Times, Dec. 23, 2001]
The boy may not have had a girlfriend, but he clearly had friends who were good enough to do this for him. Heartwarming really.

Edit: also, I am surprised that it is not yet common knowledge that there is a lot of prosthetic use in porn. Look closely next time and you can see the prosthetic most of the time.

The race for "Worst Dumpster Fire" is heating up. Everyone place your bets!
Does this reflect how the platform is actually doing or do we just like the circlejerk of wishing they would fail? Because everything I've seen says Reddit has been completely unaffected by the changes made and they're still getting more user signups, engagements and interaction/posts than ever.
Tik Tok also seems to be growing strong.
Twitter is a genuine laughing stalk and is pulling major shit.....but everyone still seems to be using it regularly.

Parenthood is already desirable. There's a biological drive and social conditioning to desire it for most people. The disincentives have just become overwhelming. Children take a hell of a lot of resources. Every aspect of modern society has drained all the time, money, energy, emotional resiliance, social support, etc that people need.
