Would you rather be reincarnated into a world of magic or reborn as yourself (with your current knowledge fully intact)?
If you choose to be reborn, you will not have magic powers, but you will unlock a status window and a skill tree that you can use to give yourself new skills and abilities and improve your physical characteristics.
You'll get the same thing if you choose to be reincarnated, however, magic will be a factor. And the age of the world will be somewhere like 50-ish years before the full rollout of the industrial revolution, technology-wise. (minor clarification, you keep your current knowledge either way)
However, you will not be the hero or the chosen one. You're just going to be a person with a perk.
Rains I have known
In Seattle, the rain is short, thin and weak, like thousands of tiny little angels spitting on you from a distance.
It's not that they don't want you there, is that they have to spit, and you happen to be in their path, and they are too far gone to cure their chewing tobacco habit.
Alabama rain falls like God taking a diuretic, and he has a massive piss-kink.
In Mexico City, the rain falls in little spurts, like a 78-year-old Jewish man whose prostate is the size of a small watermelon. It falls 14 times a day, but barely enough to get anyone wet.
In Texas, the rain is like the exhortations of a southern Baptist preacher exorting a churchful of sinners to turn from their evil ways. It only shows up three or four times a year, but when it does, it is virulent, like the disease that took my father from me.
What tv show has the best theme song?
Recently started watching old 90s and 80s shows just for the fun of it, because I'm bored with all of the new stuff that's coming out, and I fell into Knight Rider.
My review of the show so far aside, it's got straight up the most banger theme music I have heard in a TV show in a very long time.
It got me wondering what other TV shows have really great theme songs?
Welcome to Timbuk 3
Found it at a thrift store for a dollar, and it looks like it's only been played a couple of times, flawless. And honestly, I'd never heard any song on it other than "The future's so bright I gotta wear shades" but it's a pretty good album. It's pretty solid, especially for the 80s.
Every single character in Mythic Quest is a bad person, and the show is terrible.
Several people had recommended that I watch Mythic Quest.
They thought I would like it based on the fact that I could stomach it's always sunny in Philadelphia.
I watched the first three episodes and I hate every single character.
Every single person in that show is selfish, narcissistic, stuck up, or just straight up evil. They don't listen to each other. They don't interact with each other. And the plot of every episode so far is "a group of terrible people interact with each other".
I regret having watched three episodes of Mythic Quest.
HP Ultra G1a Bios Freezing Issue
Got hit with 3 of these yesterday.
Three HP ZBook Ultra G1a's all updated to Windows 11 25H2 yesterday and refused to progress past the boot screen.
The workaround patch for this issue is to long press the power button until it does a full reset, (20 seconds or so) and then get into the bios, note that when you reconnect to power you should also connect a USB to Ethernet adapter.
This worked on 2 of the 3 affected devices I have.
On the third one, the only way to get into bios was to crack open the laptop, pull the battery, long press power for 20+ seconds, then reconnect.
Either way, once it lets you into the bios, go to Update System Bios > Check HP.Com for BIOS updates. When you select this, the laptop goes black and reboots.
You will then need to repeat the same process you used to get into the bios to get into the bios again, only this time it will tell you it needs to disable BDE if you have bitlocker enabled. Then it will allow you to roll back the bios to 1.03.11.
Do so.
Once the rollback is completed the laptop will boot normally.
I have reported this issue to HP Support, but wanted to share in case anyone else is dealing with the same issue.
If it had only been 1 device I wouldn't have cared, but for 3 to get hit with the exact same issue at the exact same time when the exact same update with the exact same bios was applied, I figured that it would be useful for more people to know about it.
Hopefully this is somewhat helpful!
