NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani doubles down on criticism of AIPAC

https://www.aipac.org/

AIPAC is leading the political fight to keep Congress pro-Israel, helping pro-Israel candidates win elections and helping defeat detractors of the U.S.-Israel relationship. AIPAC's members contribute directly to Democratic and Republican candidates through the AIPAC PAC. As the largest pro-Israel PAC, our members demonstrate that being pro-Israel is both good policy and good politics.

Americans will be mad if the word "Israel" is replaced by words like "China", assuming they can read.

Zelensky threatens to attack Belarus

Reply in thread

Because no one asks???

I simply point out OP is indeed propaganda, and this has nothing to do with the links below.

Anyway, I don't want to answer any other questions, as almost everyone here has already taken a stance that I'm pro western. I'M NOT. I hate the modern capitalism, and I hate those American technofascists the most. However, this has nothing to do with the topic here, and I'm tired of questions that the sole purpose is to force me to show my stance.

  1. The first post was not made by me.
  2. Your question exactly indicates you're misunderstanding what's "propaganda". I can point at this saying it's propaganda, then blame Ukraine and praise Russia. The word "propaganda" states an objective fact that its reporting may be biased due to factors like state-funding, but it has nothing to do with someone is pro or against it. See the point here?

As expected, someone downvoted this.

Many people fail to realise that, stating facts does not mean it's not propaganda.

Something can be facts and propaganda at the same time.

One typical example is that, China tops high speed rails in the world. If this is reported by the state-funded media like Global Times, it's both a fact and propaganda at the same time.

I believe some people will never do critical thinking anyway...

Steam store "refresh" is out in beta now, enwidening images and adding infinite scrollage to the homepage

Reply in thread

You can.

Open a publisher page, then in the top right corner, look for a gear icon. Click it, and there's an option to ignore this publisher.

Unfortunately there's a limitation. This works only for those having a dedicated publisher page. For publishers without a dedicated page, Steam will fallback to the search page, which doesn't provide a way to ignore this publisher.

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford says his hopes on Epic Store were 'overly optimistic or misplaced'

This CEO may think it's developer-friendly, but I highly doubt if Epic will keep such developer-friendly stance if Epic becomes a giant in this industry.

Epic burnt so much money on Epic store these years. If it succeeds, it's very likely Epic will try to earn it back. From player? Will players willing to pay more in Epic store than the others? If the answer is no.. Sometimes it really makes me wonder if these CEOs are really that stupid..

Microsoft announces sweeping Windows changes - but no apologies

I have a feeling this can't be fixed unless they fork from a pre-slop point, which is highly unlikely.

The core problem with AI is not being incapable of generating working code, but the ability to maintain by AI or human.

AI has a larger memory (context size) than human. It can generate codes that are difficult for human to understand, and the complexity can build up fast, especially doing vibe coding without clear instructions (especially architectural).

On reaching a critical level, AI starts to make significantly more errors. At this point, no one can maintain, the codes are spaghetti. I think this is where Windows is at.

Co-op adventure, town-building and survival game Necesse hits the big 1.0

Reply in thread

I played this game earlier this year. I'm not sure about the recent development, but for the time I played it, solo was definitely not a problem. You can even recruit NPCs to help you in hoss fights, and these NPCs have a low cooldown on potion consumption. As long as there's potions, NPCs are unlikely to die. You can even focus on dodging and let NPCs bully bosses. NPCs also help in other perspectives e.g. farming and mining. Its QoL is the best in this genre, in my opinion.
