Y'all forgetting they were gathering period data and were arresting women who had 'abortion-like' procedures?
Sure, the general "birth control is bad for you" message is not optimal. But the root of this misinformation are insights about the side effects coming up more or less recently. iirc one third to half of all women on hormonal birth control experience major side effects like headaches, nausea or mood changes. I can see how these significant findings combined with patriarchy awareness and associated anger led to exaggerated messages.
Nonetheless, I think people thinking more critically about birth control is a good thing as one should always consider both benefits and risks.
Edit: Or did I misread this post? If so, I'm very sorry...

What happens if the robots take over and life gets better for people?
I don't see why robots would make our life better, minor improvements comparable to the invention of dishwashers aside. Sure, in theory, they could do work, so we don't have to. But we have seen in the past that productivity gains do not result in less work for us. The problems lie in the way we structured our society and this will not magically change just because we have robots.

Do you drink a lot of coffee?
Reply in thread
This is why I hate this stuff. I hate people joking about how much coffee they're drinking because they have so much work to do and don't get to sleep. Meanwhile, every coffee joke sounds like this to me.

First snake to be covered in vegan butter?!?
What is it like to live with her? Is she crawling around freely in your apartment? Does she bite? How did she feel about being covered up in vegan butter?
Thank you for donating organs! Not to the snake (right?), I just recognize the card in the background.

Well most of the story is true
Many in my family talk this way, except for they skip the "where were we?" part and just go on talking about the next thing that comes to mind.
It drives me crazy at times because I can't help but follow along when people tell me stuff.

I get the reference, but this assassination will indeed lead to CEOs taking more safety precautions. As much as it might feel like a relief, another guy will just fill the position and nothing will change. It's just a warning to the richest, that they need to be more careful, f. i., need to manipulate public opinions even more. Perhaps the health insurance companies will make more of an effort to keep their internal processes secret.
Or am I missing something?
