Going on my first super long haul flight - what can I buy to make it more comfortable?
Some good suggestions here already. Adding one more - bring water onto the plane. Stay hydrated. As a bonus, it gives you an excuse to go for frequent walks to the bathroom.

Residents of #canada, would you be in favour of your province or territory abolishing annual clock changes and moving to a consistent, year round time?
I don't care which. Pick one and stop changing the clocks.

Rotating brownouts leave thousands of Albertans without power Friday

I was in one of the areas that was hit by the rotating brown outs.
Sure would have been nice to get an EAS alert warning to reduce consumption first. There weren't any.

Dead Space 2 remake was reportedly in development, but not any more due "lacklustre sales" of the first game.
The remake was fine, but personally I didn't understand the praise it got for basically being a slightly prettier version of the original. I want new Dead Space!

[News] Steam Play tool for Native Linux gaming 'Luxtorpeda' v67 out now
Such a cool tool. I didn't know so many Linux-native engines existed. Can't wait for the Dark Forces one to be added.

What are you reading this month?
Currently reading through Spider Island. It's not bad IMO, but seems like a lot of filler.

I'm also torn. Currently running bazzite but I've got it set up the way I want it so I'm probably going to procrastinate on SteamOS for a bit.

As a counter point, I had a great time in Osaka with my young daughter this summer. I'm not saying the previous poster was wrong, just that my experience was apparently very different.

Entering for Crisis Core, thanks for doing this.
I've been watching Y: The Last Man and started out really digging it, but now that I'm nearing the end (Ep8) it's starting to drag a little. Some interesting things being set up though so hoping it sticks the landing.

I played them all, they're great games with that old school AA feel. My personal ranking would be 1>2>Genesis>3.

No kids are perfectly behaved. We had a great time all over the Asian countries we visited, more accommodating than North America in some ways.
You will definitely get culture shock when visiting Japan if you're never been to Asia though, just for many others reasons.

Split screen coop Halo was the bees knees. We did the midnight launch for Halo 2 and played it all night, then had to go to class the next day.

Need some help setting up the RP3+. Since i aim to use Daijinhso, are there any better options on having emulators for the Nes till Snes and Genesis games other than having retroarch installed ?
I recommend Retroarch for those systems because it's just easier that way. You install the cores and set up hot keys once and you're done. RA and RP3+ will play all those systems just fine, you might just have to futz with the Daijisho path. It's when the systems get newer that the performance benefits of a stand alone emulator outweigh the RA convenience IMO.
Your SD card mount/path shouldn't change every time. But I don't take it out much - use FTP to transfer your ROMs.
