Idk... I don't think there's a correlation between the hours you work and basic empathy

You're right. I over simplified. Over working people is definitely a tool to make people more complacent. If you're too tired or over worked, you're too tired to fight (or care about others). Yay capitalism!

Since Smart TVs are the newest enemy, nerf the spyware with this guide provided by Consumer Reports
Any recommendations to easing the transition to removing the tv from the internet?
My LG is connected to a less trusted vlan and behind a pihole (which matters somewhat, but no clue what goes around it without digging into other logs). I looked at rooting it the other day and I can't with my firmware and honestly not sure what else would need to be done even if I could to avoid things.
I've got a mini pc setup connected to it, but forcing others in the house to use it over baked in apps seems like an uphill battle. Maybe setup some passwordless, generic account that can only open Firefox (somehow limited to just a few sites like YouTube), Plex, and idk what else. Would still lose out on apple tv I think since it's a Linux box.
Curious if there's a simplified, safer route that's easy enough for non tech folk.

This coupled with pihole is great! The pihole docs even have setup for unbound and it’s really easy to follow.

physical media offers protections from corporate abuse/greed
Does it though? It used to a long time ago but aren't a lot of discs for games just blocked if you're not connected to the internet to get required upgrades?
Even if that's not much of a thing yet, I fear it will be.

What is going on with the left hand on the right most one? It's almost like it looks like it's holding an invisible cup, but the fingers are messed up. I can't figure it out.

Thank you, Comrade Trump | The Strait of Epstein crisis is going to do more to accelerate permanent, unidirectional migration away from fossil fuels to cleantech than decades of environmental activism
