why is it okay to curse out anybody from any religion and call them slurs dedicated to that religion except Islam?

Do you want to call Muslims slurs? What about engage in antisemitism? What's the real drama going on with you? I don't picture straight white cis men when I think of christianity, I picture hateful republicans.

*Nevermind, you posted religious crap in atheist communities on lemmy and previously asked why catholics and the catholic church aren't respected on lemmy. No gods, no masters.

Adding two new admins and introducing radical recalls

Ahoy ye maties! I be one o' the new admins 'n am happy t' be on the crew! 🏴‍☠️

A little about me: I've been pirating since I was a teenager and gravitated towards this instance because of it, I am a FOSS and privacy enthusiast, and since joining lemmy I have become ✨radicalized✨. I'm a bi cis woman and my pronouns are she/her on the internet, nobody knows you're a woman. I have 2 senior dogs I love very much. I like anime, art, and video games. I also ate too much imposter chik'n and am now going to pass out.

A short ban, probably not worth discussing, but which has created a significant chilling effect on my use of my host instance

Hi, I am the PTB that banned this user for 2 hours. As what was explained to you in the appeals channel, you've been trolling for months and when the person you troll gets mad, you report them for things like 'incivility.' You've done this many times to multiple users for months. That is why you were banned, not because of a specific thread and report. This was a warning to you to knock it off, as was explained to you.

It was not made known to other admins that you had contacted db0 in advance of making your account that you were using your account just to do things like this. It makes a lot more sense now why there was this leeway. I thought trolling other users was against the rules, but it seems the rules are muddy about it. We have often been warning people through 1 day bans to knock things off. So your timeout seemed appropriate.

"Gatekeeping" is when you don't think "Dragonfucker" is a gender

Reply in thread

I also think dronerights (dronegender/swarmgender), grail (goddessgender), and drag (dragonrider /dragonfucker) are the same person. Hexbear has been calling this out for a while now, it's how I even know about these users. There's other users they also think are alts like mindtraveler and pm me fat enbies. Blajah bends over backwards to protect them until they do something so offensive for so long that they are banned and the bit continues in another account. Some of the accounts claim to suffer from NPD. I don't know what to make of it other than I try to ignore them.

People who have been on Lemmy since the very initial reddit API debacle, or before even that, how much do you think it has changed?

Lemmy didn't have much content at first so you would run out of things to read after a while. It felt friendly at first, but certain topics still set off people at lemmy to the point I thought about leaving. Then lemmy seemed to improve and I could talk about those topics again, but now there are more trolls (even ones that seem to follow you around since they troll each post or comment talking about something) and spam bots that weren't there before. I think a lot of conflict on forums like this has to do with miscommunication, but sometimes people are just mean and there isn't a fix.

my accounts of being banned on hexbear

You got banned for trying to be a "centrist" too much. It's not just being a "fence sitter" about charlie kirk, but also about Palestine. I cringed. Your comments weren't misunderstood, I think you were either uneducated about the severity of the war or trolling. Hexbear can be wrong, but this time around they were tired of holding your hand. It's also considered bad form to continue engaging with a community that has already banned you, seriously. This is why modlogs are required btw.

Transphobic meme saying the dems are the weird ones

I am fine with late term abortions and we should have them as an option. They make up about 1% of abortions. These are abortions that happen after 21 weeks and can include reasons like:

-fetus abnormalities in the brain that cannot be caught until the third trimester or even doctors not fully disclosing severities because they are pro-life,

-unwanted pregnancy to a woman that didn't know she was pregnant until later on,

-finances changing or even relationships changing

-barriers preventing women from getting abortions (financial such as not having enough money to pay out of pocket or having to travel out of state which frequently required both more money and multiple visits because of policy)

You can read more here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9321603/

I've also read a separate study I cannot find that included women who were addicted to drugs wanting an abortion but addiction made it complicated to get an abortion early on.

But anyway the reason doesn't matter to me at this point, the conversation should be between a woman and her doctor, not politicians.

Update: anarchist.nexus has been refederated

Reply in thread

You actually got important details wrong here that no one has corrected you on and so you have continued spreading misinfo everywhere.

Luminous had also posted the FHF icon with a swastika on top to YPTB

Luminous drew the ties between Mr. Kaplan, the FHF, Nazis

This did not happen, that user was from a different instance seen here:

If you read the YPTB post, it mentioned 3 users. One user, luminous, was an AN admin, he banned Kaplan from an anarchy meme community (one he was a mod of, he was not banned from the entire AN instance as shown from Kaplan's modlog screenshot) for zionism and this was taken as a death threat for some reason because luminous had added the murder zionists to his nick. This alone caused the defederation from AN (again, this was the proof Kaplan showed for why he defederated). While Kaplan could have talked to literally anyone on the team, it was decided to defederate and others were encouraged to defederate over death threats from 'hostile admins'... that did not happen.

This drama was incredibly dumb, in that it could have been resolved with a chat, and the takeaway is not that anyone should agree with the LW team's actions (lmao even), but that you should try talking before pushing the button. Luminous stepped down as admin days ago btw but you are only being told now that there was even a defederation and updated with refederation shortly after.

Is this normal for girls or just a extreme edge case? (Serious question)

Most teens don't want to put anything up there because it hurts, even tampons hurt as a virgin especially with 0 lube. I never liked regular dildos, most women do not orgasm through penetration. So I would say they are messing with you. I've had guys ask me if I ever experimented with pencils or rulers because if they were a girl they would do it. No, wtf only guys think women are like this.

Reddit now officially asks your ID for NSFW posts

Reply in thread

Your government knows your ID, address, date of birth, bank information, credit cards, and such, I'm sure you wouldn't mind giving me all of this information? I need your personal information to "verify" you are you and then link your real identity to all of your account's activity for surveillance and sell that info for ads. I will protect your personal info very poorly so your info gets dumped on the internet for all to browse. /s

There's a million reasons why someone wants their info to stay more private. I'm an admin on lemmy, why the fuck should anyone give me their personal info?! Please web search about online privacy and why things like "nothing to hide" is such an ignorant take.

At the airport. The TSA thought my daughter's Hello Kitty carry-on was suspicious. [More in body.]

I hate TSA, fucking security theater. I recently had a trip to a doctor that involved flying and going there was fine. I need a wheelchair because I can't walk long distances, like I can't even do grocery shopping anymore, but I can walk short distances. I went through the scanner, no fuss. But coming back home, TSA asked me if I could use the scanner. I told them I could. They decided to do a pat down instead, a very thorough pat down while I remained in the wheelchair. I was trying to avoid a pat down, I've had some SA in the past and do not like being touched. They let me go after the pat down and I tried to avoid being upset. I felt molested but what can I do? That was some real BS.

How do women feel about the "downblouse"?

I'm female and bi and it is definitely noticeable when someone is staring at my chest and it is very uncomfortable. When I was younger there were certain guys that rarely looked me in my face and were just looking at my chest the whole time. I asked other girls about it and they agreed they too felt them gazing at their chests and it was really uncomfortable and off-putting for them as well. If you wanna help then tell them discreetly to tighten their bra straps. Otherwise I don't find it acceptable to stare at a woman's chest. A glance maybe but you should really be looking at their faces. People are not meat or eye candy, don't objectify them, just remember the person they are inside. There may be women ok with it and like flaunting it but that's not been my personal experience.
