Perfectly Adapted

Actually it's not just "not debilitating" but ADHD can be a major advantage for hunter gatherers and according to studies leads to more calories being gathered. It's also likely that in a major war people with ADHD would do better as things like "not focusing" on a single task turns into better situational awareness. You notice things other people wouldn't. The hyperfocus state is also very useful for combat. These things didn't just evolve by a fluke. There is a reason they exist and there is a reason only a certain percentage of the population has them. "Neurodivergent" behaviors are literally a way for the species to be more prepared for different situations. Not every single person is going to be good at the same things. We don't call it "neurodivergent" when one person sucks at math and is instead really good at art. Humans are not all carbon copies of eachother. Because if we were then the moment we encountered a novel situation we would go extinct. Also, yes, that even includes things like ASPD (Anti-Social Behaviors). In nature the name of the game is diversification. If you've got 100 humans and all of them react to a situation slightly differently its much more likely some of them survive to pass on genes.

What's even crazier is for a lot of things we already had a quick result overview. Like if you wanted the definition of a word. For a long time it was the case that you could just "define socks" and you'd get a widget at the top with the definition. Why would you replace that with AI, and have an AI process that request every single time someone wants to define socks instead of just keeping the old widget!?

Poll: Low-information voters have turned hardest against Trump and the GOP

Well, there’s the other interpretation, that they’re just stupid as shit. There’s no way an informed, educated, rational, and at least semi-kind person votes for Biden/Kamala/Trump/Obama/Hillary... If you did, you failed on one or more of those points. Personally, I prefer to think they’re (largely) mislead, not dumb. It’s easy to be fooled by the propaganda machine of the Epstein class.

It's not just wrong. It's plausibly wrong, which is worse. It's the difference between giving someone a recipe for cookies where you fuck up the ratio of flour and sugar vs giving someone a recipe for cooking where you've jokingly put "50 pounds of gunpowder" in there as an ingredient. People know the obvious wrong thing is wrong. But they'll bake the fucked up ratio cookies and then just not know what went wrong.

How is this not the standard view?

Yeah, a lot of why the people in the west work so much, is because they consume so much. The lifestyle in the west is, on average, extremely extravagant. And before anyone gets defensive, yes much of this is systemic, but acting like its inescapable is defeatist. I guarantee if you live in the west you could spend way less money and still get by just fine. I know because I've been on the brink of homelessness before, and it teaches you a lot of how to save money. Much of the western working class is too caught up in the allure of consumption to realize the thing keeping them unhappy in many cases is that very consumption. It's a temporary solution to a permanent emotional problem. You don't need more things. You need human connection. I'm not saying it will solve all your problems but I guarantee you could find things to stop spending money on that you don't really need. There is an endless amount of free digital entertainment for example. Why would you pay for digital entertainment? Substitute one meal per day for rice. Learn to fix your devices instead of buying new ones. etc.
