A Stanford Study Exposes Massive Racial Bias in AI Hiring Tools Used by 90 Percent of Businesses

That's undoubtedly not an accident.

The technofeudalist plan appears to be to arrange things so that "undesirables" - mostly non-whites, non-heterosexuals, non-conservatives and anyone else who isn't likely to be an obedient cog in their machine - are overrepresented among the poorest of Americans while eliminating as many services for the poor as possible - especially healthcare and housing. It's certainly not a coincidence that that means that a significant number of the poor, and thus of the "undesirables," will die.

The survivors will still be homeless, which will be (and increasingly already is) a crime, so they're end up in (conveniently privatized) prisons, which will allow the new generation of feudal lords to use them as slave labor.

The Left Is Unstoppable, According to Republicans

Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats know how to deal with the simple fact that with the gap between rich and poor growing ever wider, the billionaires and their politician tools dismantling everything of any value in the government to which they don't even pay taxes, and the entire system growing ever more out of touch with ordinary people, the ordinary people are moving ever more to the left.

Of course the Republicans can't come to terms with that, but it's not really relevant to them - they're so far to the right that leftists might as well be space aliens.

The cynically amusing part is how much it's disconcerting the Democrats, since it's such a vivid illustration of the fact that the Democrats, in spite of supposedly being the American left-wing party, are not left-wing at all and have no intention of ever being left-wing at all.

Unfortunately though what that means is that I quite seriously expect that when the Republicans set about stealing the midterms, the Democrats are going to actually help them, since they'd rather have Republicans win than leftist Democrats.

Yep.

All you have to do, and exactly what they're doing, is set up a system under which whoever you consider undesirable is more likely to end up poor and unemployed, then you eliminate most social services and tie the remainder to employment, and eliminate most public health policies to allow for the widest possible exposure to carcinogens and disease. Then you just sit back and wait while the "undesirables" sicken and, denied healthcare, die.

Do you think that Trump is being blackmailed?

I thought at first that he was likely being blackmailed by Israel - it's near certain that the Israeli government has at least as much evidence of his serial child rape as the US government does.

Mostly based on the way the whole war played out though, I tend more toward a different theory now.

I think Bibi convinced him that overthrowing Iran would be a cake walk - that just like Venezuela, they could go in fast and bomb the shit out of things and get rid of the Ayatollah and take over, and then Trump could get Narges Mohammadi out of prison and she'd be so thankful that she'd give him her Nobel medal, and then he'd be the bestest President ever in the history of ever because he'd have two Nobels (well - technically, he'd only have two Nobel medals, and claiming that he has a Nobel because he has a medal is sort of like claiming he's a Super Bowl champion because he has a ring, but he's too stupid to realize that).

And everything played out just as intended, right up to the point that Iran didn't collapse and instead just calmly set about replacing the Ayatollah and systematically bombing American bases and property all around the Middle East while closing down the Strait of Hormuz. And he's been desperately flailing around and throwing tantrums ever since, because that wasn't what Bibi promised.
