I can attest to this. I went to Voat briefly, shit was wild.

As a site it had merit but unfortunately it ended up scooping up a good number of the forced exiles from Reddit and not nearly as many normal users. Content had a big skew.

The protest brought me here but I'm staying because I like it more.

I'm on the verge of switching my gaming PC to Linux, the bloat of windows is becoming too much. I'm fairly PC literate but don't know anything about Linux or distros. It is intimidating to commit to a platform where I know so little. Does anyone have any tips regarding distros or learning the basics?

Weekly Mod Feedback Sessions

We will (virtually) host small groups of mods each week to discuss the needs of users, mods, admins, and communities (including how subreddits are, and should be, governed). Sessions will be weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays July-October, and continue into the future as valuable. We will summarize and share notes inside the company as well as in r/modnews. Reddit Mod Council and Partner Communities

These are ongoing programs between admins and mods to provide feedback, guidance, transparency, and insight into Reddit’s future. We typically hold weekly calls and share notes with all members of those private communities. Accessibility Feedback Group

This group of users, mods, and admins will meet monthly to review and provide feedback on Reddit’s accessibility accommodations and tools. Our next meeting will be in August; please submit this interest form to participate.

In addition to our online Mod Summits, we’re resuming Mod Roadshows and picking up where we ended in 2022, meeting mods in Austin, Delhi, London, Paris, São Paulo, and Toronto. That's brutal. Idk if that is a good message to throw out to the media while the families are still hopeful but as a third party I appreciate his honesty. It really highlights the risks here.

Things do break down sometimes but that does not make cheating excusable.

I respect your ex for telling them herself, that could not have been easy. Your children are old enough to understand what is happening and don't need protection. That honesty may allow for a future relationship if they can forgive her, which you say you are attempting to facilitate.
