Saw an article recently, can't remember where, that basically said that the sole reason fast food was doing so poorly was pricing. That McDonald's was charging Texas Roadhouse prices, so people were choosing to skip McDonald's and go to Texas Roadhouse.

Playing hard to get is a big fucking red flag. It shows a lack of maturity and a lack of truthfulness. It also shows a willingness to be deceitful to your partner.

Okay, I cannot be the only person who saw a cat in the bag before realizing it was more bags?

The problem is that businesses see it as a way to drive customers into their stores where they can then demand they either buy something or leave. This is end stage capitalism bullshit where they're trying to wring blood from a stone.

My experience has been that most of that is either the lights just being left on or cleaning crews. Oh, or coworkers hooking up.

Not just using their own tactics, but using them better. It's been so great watching the trolls flail around trying to find something to counter it and coming up with some of the lamest shit.

I make my livin' off the evenin' news Just give me somethin', somethin' I can use

You cannot be a Republican and a follower of Christ's teachings at the same time. The two are antithetical.

Imagine how much tax revenue we could get if we started taxing churches!

Not just that, it shows his moral character to a T. It also shows the moral character of those families that thanked him.

He's an Uncle Ruckus for sure.

I think the implication is that VW is untrustworthy due to their previous actions.

Knew who the judge was without having to look. This piece of shit needs to be removed. Can US Circuit court judges be impeached?

It's his dementia. He's getting almost as bad as Reagan was when Nancy was basically guiding him, except he won't let anyone guide him so he goes off the rails constantly. A narcissist with dementia is pretty much uncontrollable.

Unfortunately.

The only message the GOP has is fear mongering. If they stopped that they'd have to stand on their record of helping the people, which there is none in the last 50-60+ years.

Pull it off the wall, you mean. That masking tape ain't holding crap.

You think she's ethical, innocent, or good? Yikes. She works hard to present a non-offensive to either side persona, that doesn't make her ethical, innocent, or good.

I mean not only does he have to compete with Harris and Walz, he has to compete against his own running mate. The press doesn't care about a Harris/Trump debate because they know how it is going to go and it will be as dry as the Sahara, but a Walz/Vance debate? With Walz's comedic timing vs Vance's complete lack of awareness? That's gonna bring in the ratings. At this point Trump is a distant 4th for ratings for them.

Ouch. Close to home.

I found out my maternal grandmother once, to punish her youngest son, did exactly this. I don't remember what it was he did as it has been decades since I heard the story, but she packed her bags and walked to the bus station in town. The whole time my uncle was following her, wailing and crying for her not to go.

My grandma was a real piece of work and the day I heard that story it clicked why my mom is so fucked up.
