Why is it called a U turn and not an n turn
Because ultimately, U are the one who must make the turn.

Lemmy feels more legitimate with trolls so I’m glad you’re here. This place is growing fast.

The Four Best Reddit Alternatives

Discords can create their own forums, with static posts people can respond to in dedicated comment chains. I think the potential is there, but discovering discords you want to join is currently very difficult.

What from reddit do you hope to never see on lemmy?

Not as long as redditors keep parroting “tankies” and “it’s too complicated” every time Lemmy is brought up lol. They’re doing the dirty work for us.

NBA suspends Ja Morant for 25 regular season games
Reply in thread
I would certainly imagine that program will be entirely performative. Ja is either a changed man already after some stern conversations with the league and Nike, or he's a lost cause. I don't think that aspect of his suspension will really move the needle on the matter.

Steam's Most Highly-Anticipated Releases Are Nearly All Xbox Game Pass Titles

For a game that I really care about, I'd prefer to never have its availability in question. Gamepass is great for letting me try stuff I'm curious about though.

I don't get people that are here in the fediverse and *want to bring over* the content that is on FB, IG, TikTok, etc.

That was my take as well but I’m also an ignorant slut so more than happy to hear reasons why I’m wrong

[@nba](https://lemmy.world/c/nba) What do you think Ja Morant did?
I'm excited at the prospect of joining a new NBA community that isn't just absolutely brutal to use as a Grizz fan lol. /r/nba became legitimately unusable for me this year.
Real answer is we can never know until Adam Silver stops cashing in on the earned media from teasing this out WWE style.

Anyone else feel /r/nba has nose-dived in content and user quality in the past year or so?
Reply in thread
100%. I've been a big contributor to /r/memphisgrizzlies and before all the brigading that came with the Ja drama it was so much better than the general NBA sub. Small communities are where it's at, as long as people stay active.

I don't understand why I can't be blunt.
I think the important thing is that everyone feels they’re being treated respectfully. Both you and your family.
Maybe you can make a deal with them where you genuinely make an effort to be less blunt, but when the bluntness does come through, they’ll be more understanding that that you simply communicate differently in return. This doesn’t have to be so transactional either — if you just ask them to talk about how there’s some miscommunication and how you really want to fix it, I’m sure they’ll listen. Good luck!

Any suggestions for a good city builder game?
Keep an eye on Manor Lords—in theory it releases this year. They held a small play test recently and it was incredible.

[Shams Charania] The NBA is suspending Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for 25 games, sources tell The Athletic

People just hate Ja at this point, it's less about realistic expectations and more about a punishment fetish.
