I disagree, the issue with eugenics is that it's absolute bullshit. Made up by racists and fascists to justify their views.
Genes simply don't work like that, each person doesn't just get the genes from their parents, but from the entire bloodline of each parent. Which means we get a huge mix of stuff, some of which will be expressed and a lot of it won't be. This means children might be similar to parents (but also might not be), but after a few generations it's very hard to track any kind of complex trait.
Most people are about as smart as one another, given the chance to develop and grow. Differences in perceived intelligence are often much more a product of the environment, than anything related to genes. Rich families paid for their kids to go to the best schools, thus their offspring is perceived as more intelligent.
So no the issue isn't just forced eugenics, the issue is eugenics period. Genes do not make one person superior to another and there is no such thing as an Ubermensch or master race.

This is simply not true. Many Europeans have windows specifically designed to let infrared radiation in, but block it on the way out. So as soon as any sun hits any window, that's a lot of heat coming in and not going out. Very nice when it's cold, but not as good when it's hot. Most people have blinds and curtains on the inside, which doesn't help. I have blinds on the south side which are closed, but the rest of the house only has blinds on the inside. So for a lot of hours in the day heat does get in.

I don't even want the egg anymore I just want to go back to the way my life was before this happened

Try not to use a bowl, but a running tap. With a bowl a small layer of warm water might form around and in between the eggs, preventing the egg from cooling down fast enough. Which is probably why people tend to use ice baths, to get that initial shock as big as possible. In my experience a running tap for 10 secs does the trick.
But sometimes eggs are just cursed, not much you can do about those.

While the movie is funny you should know the basic premise is eugenics. Which might not be something to cheer on, given the current history repeating trend.

Modern windows can give oldskool walls a run for their money in terms of insulation. Although a proper designed and insulated wall can do better. It's not just the glass, but also the gasses used in between the panes and special coatings applied.

The trick is to "shock" the eggs. Whenever they are done boiling, place them in cold water. Some people use an ice bath, but I've always seen that as overkill. What I do is run the cold tap, get my pot and drain it while keeping the eggs under the stream of cold water. It only takes a few seconds, after which you can take out the eggs and they will dry right away because the inside is still hot.
The idea is to rapidly cool the hard outer shell, which causes it to contract. This releases the inside of the shell from the egg white.

This CEO laid off nearly 80% of his staff because they refused to adopt AI fast enough. 2 years later, he says he’d do it again

Yeah this is called AI washing. Basically firing people, outsourcing all the jobs, stripping a company till there is nothing left. The goal is to maximize profits till the company is basically dead and then sell the husk. Because it's done under the AI label, customers and other interested parties see it as being innovative and not just money grabbing.

Market slumps as OpenAI reportedly misses internal targets for active users and revenue — Nvidia, Oracle, AMD, and CoreWeave shares all tremble on the news
I do hope this bubble pops, but this kind of reporting is pretty useless. It's like all those Tesla stock posts we got last year. They report every time the stock goes down, even when the overall trend is the stock going up.
Nvidia is still up 28% from last month. Amd is up almost 60%, Oracle is up 20% and CoreWeave is up 41%.
When looking at 1Y these stocks are up as well. These stocks have gotten a big boost this month, so a correction isn't that big of a deal.
The markets are absolutely insane at the moment. We are in the middle of a huge energy crisis, one that hasn't even shown its true face. Yet somehow the stocks are up. There's more unrest than ever before, the spending power is down, the trust in the economy and future is down. Yet somehow stocks are up. All this AI nonsense is at spending levels it's just a straight up money pit, even the best projections for revenue (let alone profit) can't make back the money spent. Yet somehow stocks are up. All of these circlejerk investments and ghost datacenters scams are going on. Yet somehow stocks are up.
The stock market has fundamentally broken and isn't really an indicator of anything anymore. To paraphrase an idiot: Stock goes up, stock goes down, you can't explain that.
