Crystal Palace Win 2025–26 Conference League Title With Historic Victory Over Rayo Vallecano

Well done to Crystal Palace. Their very first season in Europe and they win the Conference League (after being screwed out of a place in the Europe League by UEFA). This marks only their second ever major trophy, after winning last seasons FA Cup. So it's long overdue. A fitting farewell for outgoing manager Oliver Glasner.

Thierry Henry says he barely even spoke to one former Arsenal star who changed his career

Interesting insights into Thierry and Dennis' relationship while they were at Arsenal. They barely talked or spent time together, but they had a kind of psychic link in the pitch. In large part because when Thierry first arrived with us he went out of his way to mimic how Dennis played.

Supreme Court strikes down most of Trump's tariffs in a major blow to the president

The decision does not affect all of Trump's tariffs but invalidates those implemented using an emergency law.

Delivering a major blow to President Donald Trump, the Supreme Court on Friday ruled that he exceeded his authority when imposing sweeping tariffs using a law reserved for a national emergency.

The justices, divided 6-3 held that Trump's aggressive approach to tariffs on products entering the United States from across the world was not permitted under a 1977 law called the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

If real, this is an interesting development in AGI and AI consciousness. The topics and discussions on Moltbook (a new social network where only Moltbots can post and interact with each other) are fascinating.

Inside Eberechi Eze to Arsenal: Last-minute phone call with Arteta, Tim Lewis’ role, Josh Kroenke’s sign-off

  • Eze had a deal with the spuds basically sitting in front of him, but he always wanted to come home to the Arsenal, with his long-standing love for his boyhood club known to basically everyone.
  • He called Arteta personally before signing the spuds' deal to see if there was a chance of us to come in at the 11th hour.
  • Arteta told him that after Havertz's recent injury action to strengthen the squad further would be taken, that Ebs was a serious candidate, and to hang tight for that afternoon until the board had met.
  • An ecstatic Eze later received a call that not only had the board agreed that Eze should be pursued, but that they had got right on the phone with Palace, and the deal had been finalized.
  • Palace were happier selling Eze to us than to the spuds. Parish (their Chairman) has a good relationship with us. And despite eventually agreeing completely to Palace's demands, the negotiations between Parish and Levy over the Eze deal had left a bad taste in the Palace chairman's mouth due to the fractious nature of the early discussions.
  • Our board's concerns over financial repercussions of us spending too much we put to the side for Eze, with the feeling being that now was not the time to be cautious.
  • Eze himself had spoken with England teammates who play for us and had asked them to put in a good word for him. But in the end that was not needed.
  • Arteta has been growing increasingly enamoured with the idea of bringing Eze in. He was very impressed with Ebs' personality and passion, and felt that he could bring a whole new dimension to the squad.
