Name & shame. :)

This is what baffles me about these papers. Assuming the authors are actually real people, these AI-generated mistakes in publications should be pretty easy to catch and edit.

It does make you wonder how many people are successfully putting AI-generated garbage out there if they're careful enough to remove obviously AI-generated sentences.

Say Goodbye to Those Absurd Side-Effects Readouts in Drug Commercials. The FDA finalized a rule that will require a drug’s side effects to be "presented in a clear, conspicuous, and neutral manner.”

Canada has drug ads, but with special rules. You can either mention the drug name or its indication, but not both.

So you'll get ads that say stuff like "Ozempic - ask your doctor if it's right for you" with people happily eating in a coffeeshop. But they won't tell you what Ozempic is supposed to do.

Spanish protesters squirt water at Barcelona tourists: ‘Go home’

I get the issues with mass tourism, and Barcelona is pretty bad for being absolutely packed with tourists.

But on the flip side, tourists dump quite a bit of money into the economy, especially when it comes to restaurants. And Barcelona has quite a high city tax.

Of course this money doesn't necessarily trickle down to local citizens. But do you think the government would ever discourage tourists from visiting? I'm sure they enjoy a nice amount of revenue from the various taxes imposed on tourists.

cooking question

I can't remember which episode it is, but there's an episode of one of Anthony Bourdain's shows where he visits a restaurant run by his friend.

This chef is serving a massive multi-course meal, something like 10+ courses, and knows that Bourdain is a heavy smoker. So at one point he brings out the next course and tells Bourdain something along the lines of "And this one is made with tobacco, so you won't try and get up in the middle of my dinner and go smoke".

I guess if the dose is low enough and the tobacco is mixed with the right foods, it could possibly make for an interesting flavour combination.

What do you do with your dry herb after its been vaped?

I used to make butter with it in the past, now I mostly compost it. Making butter is a stinky process lol. I like your olive oil idea though, less smell for sure.

I used to eat the equivalent of like 7-10g of vaped herb edibles before transatlantic flights and that was fantastic, slept right from takeoff and woke up touching down in my destination lol.

What happened to him, guys?

Is it possible he just went pushed himself too far?

Seems like in my experience (myself included) most people have a tendency to explore psychedelics heavily once they start and then they tend to slow down. But I guess being that he was making money off of taking drugs and making videos about it that he felt forced to continue. I haven't watched his videos in many years now..
