Not every gig is gonna earn you the cost of that camera. And it doesn't need to.

Memory prices climb 500% in 12 months, up to 10x the lowest ever tracked prices — 128GB of DDR5 now $3,399
Older system emulation and indie games for the win.

Bought 128 gb DDR4 and a 7900 XT... that system quite literally sits in my basement as my main driver is a Linux laptop with an external monitor. So busy with work and school that gaming took a backseat.

This was a choice, and we can reverse it.
Not with the lack of high speed rail and cost effective public commuter infrastructure in the US. But we've got that freedom stuff, or so I hear.

Doesn't add up
Long-term direct care for humans at any stage of life in the US (that aren't of extreme wealth) is both obscenely expensive and yet woefully inadequate. I work in brain and spinal rehab AFCs and we're far worse than most average nursing homes.

I work in the brain injury field (long term rehab). It's uncanny how similar it is. Post injury, you get two varieties: They recognize they've suffered the trauma, but refuse to acknowledge deficits or are completely incapable of registering the injury in any way, shape, or form.
I'm astounded as to how many of them that are high functioning fall into the 'there was no COVID' crowd.

Gretchen Whitmer caught on hot mic bragging about ignoring locals — ‘We’re used to people saying fuck no and doing it anyway’
Her last year has essentially been just throwing darts at a board and riding her time out. Allowing Altman to even enter this state pretty much sums up her current level of give a s***.

I definitely failed on that end. Lol. I got like two 1tb nvme's before prices went mad and I stupidly decided to build a media server. That's another machine that currently sits unused... Mostly because it's empty. Lol. One nvme is in my laptop. The other went to my daughter.

My next phone is going to be a clamshell. I barely use mine for anything but phone calls and texts anymore. The only reason I even have a smartphone now is because my school switched away from sms for login security and the app requires Android or iOS.
