Boeing begins flying back planes refused by Chinese airlines

Reply in thread

It is, but that’s not the reason here (even if not buying a 60 years airframe with shit avionics and too low ground clearance is a valid reason).

Most Asian orders are for bigger aircrafts, so 777 and 787 for Boeing.

And even without tariffs retaliation from China, Boeing is fucked because of tariffs. An aircraft is 90% imported parts from all over the world. Airbus is the same, but Airbus is not in the US (well, they have an A320 line there for US market but they can close it and keep working with the rest of the world from Europe, Boeing can’t do that)

US citizen wrongfully arrested by border patrol in Arizona held for nearly 10 days

I’m not American so it’s kinda legitimate question.

Are there any good people working for ICE? Or is being an abusive racist cunt part of the requirement?

(I guess there are probably nice normal peoples working there but they are probably too afraid to stand up)

Edit: Wow, I didn’t meant to start such a heated debate. It’s just that from an EU perspective, you have tons of law enforcement from county to federal level, plus the military. But it’s always ICE that you can see doing the awful shit to other human beings. You don’t hear about ATF detaining a kid while showing him rape video of his mother (it did not happen, yet), it has to be ICE, it’s always ICE. Hence the question, what’s the difference between ICE employees and ATF/FBI/local PD/whatever employees?

France is proud of you.

Strange thing tho, I looked at some news channels to see beautiful images of the crowds and they talked about it way more on French TV (BFM etc) than US TV (the only news channel I have is CNN, which shows more adds than news WTF?)

Musk Cuts Funding for Internet Archive

Reply in thread

Exactly what I was thinking. Relocate it to Western Europe, in a country like France they would be showered in public money from local, regional and national funds, then arts preservation funds, then whatever else funds.

It’s easy to see when watching European cinema, a film like Flow has 3 minutes of "thank you" logos at the beginning, for all the public funding from various regions and actors.

You reached the end
