Ive only recently made the switch. Question for you guys. You know how there's often multiple copies of the same 'sub' on different instances. Do you subscribe to them all or just 1 copy on an instance that you like?

Feels like a lot of users there are more for the performative changes (Oooh look I bought a pair of adidas trainers & an off brand cola) rather than actually steering away from major US owned services such as FB, Insta, Reddit

Yeah I was gonna say. Loads of the guys I work with have pretty filled out home assistant setups with smart blinds, lighting, temp sensors, garage door controls etc. Theres a difference between having a smart house and getting random "smart" appliances like cloud activatable dishwashers etc

Linux is the backbone of large portions of the internet so tonnes of money is poured into it. Althought Linux has a niche userbase for home PCs it is often the default choice for servers & development.

Fantastic if its your kind of game. Very well made and clear the devs know the type of product they're putting out. Has its niggling initial release issues like every game but all have been acknowledged and are supposedly worked on. Also has a very vocal director who is communicating a lot with fans about what the direction is.

Same. So much focus is going towards moving people from tech giants, which are important, but so much harder to move away from. Smaller things like this still make a difference and are far more easier for people to switch from than say, youtube for example.
