Microsoft to Force Web Links Shared in Teams to Open with Microsoft Edge
The way Microsoft is just ignoring the user's default browser choice makes me not want to use edge ever.

Not that you guys need the reminder, but your work sees all your browser history and you may not even be able to delete it if you wanted to

how is Lemmy going for you?
Switched to lemmy 100% after 17+ years of reddit, daily user. I think it's ok but increasingly getting annoyed with a couple things. The rampant extreme politics and phrasing as if it's fact, and people complain about cross posts but I literally see the same exact posts (same community) over and over as I scroll through the feed. Other than that it doesn't nearly have much content but that's to be expected.

What product brings a lot more value than its cost to purchase?
Most things I buy, because that's why I buy them. I know you were looking for a different type of answer, but I think it's still important to acknowledge this. There are potential exceptions for some necessities, but still rarely ever buy the bare minimum.

Google killing Basic HTML version of Gmail In January 2024
Honestly I didn't even know it was still supported and would have assume they dropped it years ago. You can still use non-web clients so it's not a huge deal. You can also use a less modern style email host if you prefer.

which linux distro do you NOT like, and why?
CentOS. We were stuck on an old version at work. The OS is already designed to use old packages for security/stability, so imagine how outdated they are on an old version. It was a nightmare getting new software running on it. That coupled with the other news surrounding CentOS and RHEL, I'm not touching those anymore w a 10 foot pole. I wish it just crumbles and Debian takes over. I have had amazing success with like 20 years on Debian and it just gets better and better.

Attempts must've been made
This is funny but not a great way to express it as a business. Why not simplify and clarify, like: "all you can eat* buffet. * limited to one meal in one hour" perhaps add "no loitering" but maybe not needed

They don't get to use it as a tax break, you do. If they are doing fraud then that's something else and they should be punished.
