I miss reddit

You can't trust corporations to not ruin a product eventually. The reason federation and FOSS is so important is that it strips the power dynamics that typically corrupt online spaces. Is it perfect? No. But reddit didn't become shitty because of individuals making bad choices, it became shitty because it had to.

What's the Lemmy app closest to RIF?

Thunder with compact view or Jerboa are the closest atm.

Honestly Thunder has some really great features like swipe to upvote, but I'm missing things like one handed zoom, jump to parent comment, comment sorting, etc.

It's an alpha though, and the Dev is pretty active. I imagine it'll get these things in time.

Car companies like Honda, BMW, and Hyundai are banding together to build an EV-charging network bigger than Tesla's Supercharger empire

Assuming that consumers will be rational is a bit premature.

Tesla wants to position itself as the Apple of cars, and it's largely succeeded. Most techies or people more in the know might be quick to dismiss them, but I don't think that's the opinion shared by the public at large.

There's still a wait time for pretty much any new Tesla

I also got my Tesla before Elon went full crazy, and there only recently were a lot of options. Even then, most were waitlisfed for months and months. Tesla manufactures a ridiculously high percentage of the EV market. Most large car companies are still just dipping their toes in EVs.
