Cyberpunk 2077 | Update 2.0

Level scaling is one of those divisive topics. Im excited to see it going away as it just feels silly to have a group of enemies that are all powerful bullet sponges. It ruins the immersion for me as... why don't they use that power and steamroll their enemies in the lower level areas of the game world. And, once I level up and go back to low level areas, it feels bad to have no challenge at all fighting a bunch of wet noodles that die after breathing on them.

My experience with Palworld, and what I think could improve

Reply in thread

Edit: Its been a year since I last played, looks like 1.0 saw an overhaul to raid mechanics.

From what I recall, raids are scaled. Don't recall what they scale off. Possibly based on the highest level of players within a guild, or maybe of pals within a base.

If you are running a standalone server, there is a server config file with a fair amount of options, might be able to tweak some settings there for damage.

One setting I do know exists is you can turn off the slow damage over time to structures built outside of a bases radius, increase the number of pals a base can support, the number of bases that can be made.

Not sure what options you can set if just hosting a game and inviting people.

A common strategy to mostly eliminate raids, at least when I last played, was to build bases in a few specific locations that were either impossible, or difficult for the attackers to path to, but means location options are a bit limited as there are only a handful of good building spots like that.

Obsidian + Git on Android

Same, syncthing has been the best solution for getting the vault on the phone. I do still use the git plugin on my desktop as a way of ensuring I don't mess up notes on the phone, managing sync conflicts and backing up my notes to a self hosted forgejo.

Have a 3 way sync between an always on server, my desktop, and my phone.

What about HDR?

Reply in thread

With my configuration, it does. Though it likely also depends on GPU drivers, Monitor, etc. I'm just speculating as I have no clue beyond "works for me".

Any games that have an HDR option in their graphics settings would support HDR I hope. Maybe if the display is already in HDR while in desktop mode, it's possible that launching the game isn't able to toggle it off?
