Sex crime victim denied $69,000 settlement, because North Carolina cops had already seized her abuser's cash through 'civil forfeiture'
That money needs to come out of the police funds.

Sadly the Bible is not something that should be taken literally. It shouldn't be used as an example of anything these days. It shouldn't be mentioned when we are making laws. This goes for Any religious handbook as religion has no business being in the decision making for anything that affects everyone.

If there is a constant need to watch YouTube videos or look up game guides the days of playing that game ends very quickly. Must be intuitive to play.

How do I stop hating children?
I don't know how much patience you have for long term efforts. I have done this for other issues. Meditate on it. Spend initially 5 minutes a day and then lengthen and increase frequency to something like 10-20 minutes 2-3x a day. Figure out what works for you.
Recreate the situations and scenarios where you get triggered. And be in the situation. Stew in it. Notice more and more how you react. What is happening before your reaction? What is happening in the space between each reaction. You most likely will not find out the solution while in meditation. But the meditation will ingrain the ability to slow your processes down. So when you're back in the situation you will start noticing the issues that are making you lose it.
Once armed with that knowledge you'll either find new coping mechanisms or you'll have better information for a mental health professional to help you see those new coping mechanisms.
Rinse and repeat.

My dog is on an antibiotic for Lyme disease and he will not sleep at night because his stomach is upset
I feel for both of you. You're stuck in a tough place. There are different types of antibiotics if memory serves me well so it may be best to see if there is something else they can prescribe that might be less devastating or at the very least some probiotics that you can put him in that will help offset the gut issue. I am only speaking from what I've heard my wife talk about for herself. I was on antibiotics so much as a kid that my gut bacteria has never properly recovered. I have yet to find a probiotic that works for me. They all make me sick. Almost everything makes me gassy and in pain so I really feel for your pup. Not sure if they make a gasX product for pets but that may help too.

Offering solutions is annoying
Reply in thread
Yes. Hear me out though. Sometimes the stress of the problem makes those solutions easily forgettable. It's good to have someone ask the obvious questions. It also helps them to find out where you are in your troubleshooting so if they do have something that might work that wasn't addressed they can provide that as an option. People don't typically get instant downloads of everything that's been tried.

DOOM: The Dark Ages | Official Trailer 1 (4K) | Coming 2025
I'm going to upset someone and I apologize. This game feels cheap to me. Like someone took too many liberties with the game style. I like the doom games so I hope this doesn't fall on its face.

Is putting on a 'dumb voice' when quoting someone you disagree with actually a form of poisoning the well?
It shows how you feel of their opinion and sheds doubt on your interpretation of the situation. And also sways the listener to your opinion. It's best to share facts without the emotion.
