Dann wiederum kann man sich fragen warum das Management dem Arbeitnehmer so eine unwichtige Tätigkeit zuweist, von der das Management nicht bemerkt wenn sie nicht geleistet wird, was darauf hindeutet, dass das Management wertvolle Arbeitskraft verschwendet.

Was mich darauf schließen lässt, dass in diesem Fall das Management der unwichtige Part ist, da es nichts leistet bzw. arbeitet.

I run a private Mastodon Instance. The server gives me the option to automatically delete the media-cache after a given number of days (I have it set to 180 days). If the data is needed again, it will be pulled from the original instance. Again. If still available.

An additional setting is the deletion of the federated content at all, which is saved on my server. This probably cannot be reverted, as the server doesn’t know anymore what to pull from what server… I have this setting at 365 days.

Additionally I can set my personal account to auto delete my own posts after a given time. With being able to set some excludes (favorited, bookmarked, posts which got a minimum of likes, …). But this is not a server setting, it’s an account setting.

Social media does not need to be saved forever. :)

Someone should create himself a reminder in 7 years to check if Google good this promise and still provides major OS updates for this Pixel.

Apple delivered 5 major iOS updates to the iPhone X + the whole iOS 16 lifecycle with probably some additional security updates in the next 1-2 years. Let’s see how many updates the new iPhone 15 (Pro) models will get. I expect not less.

Yeah, it’s absolutely time for USB-C. Apple itself is switching since several years. More and more products switch to USB-C. Started with the iPad (I ignore the Macs as the never had lightning), and now even the AppleTV Remote has USB-C.

But on the other hand: I have a 14 Pro and I don’t really care about the connector. Charging only wireless (MagSafe), headphone also wireless (AirPods or Beats for cycling). I could live with no connector at all. ;)

Nevertheless I expect the 15 to come with USB-C.

Reminds me of a good working quite successful Taxi-App called „myTaxi“ which was rebranded to „FreeNow“ and everybody was „wtf“? Never used it since then.

In the AppStore the App is still called „FREENOW (ex mytaxi)“.
