ICE will keep getting worse

I read that it makes ICE bigger than the fucking Chinese army. It's beyond obscene. One thing that I wonder about is... are there even enough racist sociopaths in this country to fill the ranks? You need a specific type of person to be willing to join ICE. It's possible that there simply aren't enough Americans who are willing to brutalize immigrants to use the $200 billion they were given.

Crime and punishment

For me this is the most frustrating thing about being autistic. I care about things way too much, and it's debilitating. I wish I could be apathetic because it's absolutely an essential trait to have in the insane times we find ourselves in.

The news is downright traumatizing and has been for years. It's destroying my health. Of course the fact that I'm seeing this shit on the news instead of being bombed myself means I'm quite privileged.

In Virginia and Oregon, AI data centers now consume one-third of the state’s electricity.

Your title says "AI data centers" but the data says "data centers." Not all data centers are set up for AI.

It's wild that Oregon is 33% but Washington is only 6%. I work security at a data center in Washington and figured there would be more here. It's nice to be wrong.

I roll my damn eyes pretty much daily when I look at the 2+ years of construction this place has undergone to prepare itself for AI.

This comic isn't telling us to ignore the news. It's telling us to not engage with incendiary media personalities, like Megyn Kelly. Their entire strategy is to piss people off, because an angry viewer is an engaged viewer. Whenever someone posts something awful that Kelly or someone like her said, they're actually helping that media personality. The only way to defeat them is to not engage.

We should always engage with current events and the news, but be media literate enough to spot the trolls.

OpenAI is buying significantly more RAM than they actually need. They only need 30% of what they're buying to actually build their data centers.

This is just a step on the way towards digital feudalism. Sites like this being taken down is the point, as sites like this are only useful for people who own hardware.
