FuckYourHeadlights - A community for people to organise and vent about ridiculously bright lights

So I drive an Old car (Audi 80 build 1994) and it's so annoying when people behind me drive with an automatic High beam. My front and rear lights aren't as bright as newer cars so their car detects me way to late and blinds me every time there is no oncoming traffic. Sometimes I then start turning my bright foglight (on the back) on to make thier car think I'm closer.

YSK: How to interact with US police

The third option is our German chancellor (Olaf Scholz). "I dont know where these Millions went." "I don't remember anything about that incident." "I don't recall sending or receiving these messages." "That evidence? No I don't remember this and I refuse to talk about it" If you ask any uncomfortable questions about corruption he just stays silent.

"Lifetime maximum benifit" excuse me but what the fuck?! I'm not from the US but that's the first time I heard that phrase and that sound's horrible. Like: okay that's the limit! Now don't be sick again. Ever.

World would be a better place

When they Knock on my door they usually catch me while I am at home doing the dishes/cleaning up my mess of a kitchen or doing a weeks worth of laundary etc. In that case I tell them you have to options:

  • a) go away and probably not catch me again
  • b) come inside and help me with whatever I am doing at the moment

Let me tell you you'll never get 2 people helping you with your kitchen this cheap. The last ones stayed for 3 hours after which my kitchen was spotless. Somehow they didn't want to stick arround for some more discussion and cleaning the bathrooms...Anyways afterwards I offered them a save retreat at my adress if they ever wanted to escape their cult. No regrets, looking forward for the next knock on the door.

Okra and fenugreek extracts remove most microplastics from water, finds research

Reply in thread

I found this on the german Wikipedia article (but not on the English one) to Okra but was to lazzy to translate it all so Deepl took over.

"When cooked, the pod releases pectin, a slimy substance that is suitable for thickening dishes. If you want to do without it, you can either blanch the okras in vinegar water for five minutes (first cut off the tip and remove the stem) and then rinse with cold water or soak them in cold lemon water for one to two hours before processing.

Another method of cooking the pods without producing mucilage is to cut off the stem only enough to leave the pod intact (or leave the stem intact) and cook the okras in the oven only until they are soft. They can then be mixed with other cooked vegetables, for example. The classic way is to mix the cooked pods with tomato sauce and garlic. "
