Is this app dead?

Reply in thread

Not sure why this person is getting downvoted. I like many others paid for a lifetime membership. Dev supported the app for few months then ghosted. No explanation or update has been given. Totally abandoned at this point.

How come some people can work 8 hours straight and then have energy to hit the gym, but if I walk for 1 hour in the treadmil all that I can is lay down for the rest of the day?

My best advice is start small. Try walking for 30 minutes and work your way up. The hardest part of working out is consistency. It doesn't really matter what you do but just make sure you do something everyday. Dont let yourself make excuses. If you can form the habit of doing something everyday your 99% of the way there.

**this seems to be the theme of the season mateys**

I know this may be blasphemy but if you use a VPN to sign up from certain countries you can get YouTube premium for like 25 bucks for the year. Haven't tried it personally but I've seen it mentioned a million times.

If they go to war with adblockers though some one smarter then me will probably come out with a way to just download the video and cut out ads post.

Actively exploited vulnerability gives extraordinary control over server fleets

The vulnerability, carrying a severity rating of 10 out of a possible 10, resides in the AMI MegaRAC, a widely used firmware package that allows large fleets of servers to be remotely accessed and managed even when power is unavailable or the operating system isn't functioning. These motherboard-attached microcontrollers, known as baseboard management controllers (BMCs), give extraordinary control over servers inside data centers.

Harris Claims She Worked at McDonald's in College. Here's What We Know

This is just sad. Whether she lied about McDonald's or not has no bearing at all on who I will vote for in the coming election. In the grand scheme of things this is meaningless. In fact if this is literally all that can be dug up about Harris it kind of speaks highly of her.

At the end of the day we all lose cause essentially elections are coming down to whoever is the lesser of two evils and not someone you stand behind.

Yes, Ukraine Started the War

Here's what you need to know- consortium news in 2016, the website was listed by PropOrNot as a "Russian propaganda outlet," a claim Consortium News strongly disputes, arguing it challenges mainstream narratives and exposes bias in media.

Article really is totally bias towards Russia and leaves out many well documented facts or any facts that would take away from the Russian narrative that Russian is the victim.

Interesting to read for the sole fact it gives you insight into what the Russian propaganda machine is pumping out.

I think a lot of people would disagree with you about X. Objectively he bought the company for $44B and now it's worth $9B that's a huge loss. Most people attribute the decline to his "efficiency" measures. Basically losing all the good talent in his company causing a significant decline in users ( because of quality of service). His running of Twitter I think would be a better example of a failure.

That aside hypothetically even if X was doing well - How would the strategy / approach he used in a public company be good for government. These are two very different places?

Extensions are:

Have you reported issues to the developer?

Reply in thread

Great so why can't he take 30 seconds out of a year to say that? I'm sure people would understand. The issue everyone is having is the lack of updates. So essentially yes it is abandoned. No updates either way, no word from developer either way been over a year = abandoned.

Great he responded to you but did he say when the next update will be? Or explain the lack of updates? I mean we could all makes guesses but the fact of the matter is it's been abandoned and in its current state is broken. There is no reason to use it.

Additionally this is hurting Lemmy in general. People will try to use sync for Lemmy because it's familiar and not realize the issues they are having are with sync because it's broken not Lemmy. Then stop using Lemmy. I know you're well intentioned but you shouldn't give people hope when you know nothing more than anyone else.

Have you reported issues to the developer?

I mean all of that is good and well but basically all of this is just your assumption. Its nice that you "believe" this but you don't speak for the developer.

My issue is we have heard nothing at all from the developer. If the project was alive or just moving slowly I'd imagine we would hear something. Literally anything but we haven't. If youre going to take people's money be direct and just let people know what to expect. It's not difficult to do. That's great you sent issues to the developer when's that update coming to fix it? This week, next year, never......
