New research finds San Andreas Fault is slipping faster than previously thought

The author of the article is trying way too hard to imply that the study predicts more and worse earthquakes.

For example, they open with:

Just a week after a 3.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the Hayward Fault in Oakland

Which just makes me laugh. They clearly just checked the USGS site for the largest recent quake in the area, and might not even realize just how puny and mundane a 3.9 is.

Google workers complain bosses are 'inept' and 'glassy-eyed'

The Verge reported that CEO Sundar Pichai defended the layoffs and claimed that workers sometimes reach out to express gratitude for the cuts. “And I just want to clarify that, through these changes, people feel it on the ground and sometimes people write back and say, ‘Thank you for simplifying.’ Sometimes we have a complicated, duplicative structure,” he said, per the Verge.

Chalmers: People send thank you's for lay offs?

Pichai: Yes.

Chalmers: May I see one?

Pichai: No.

Fox News Left Shell Shocked by Dems’ Election Night Romp

“Republicans need to look at all of these numbers, and really think about what’s more important. Yes, most people that are Republicans are probably pro-life,” she stated. “And we love our babies. And I love being a mother. But what’s most important? Republicans taking over. And Republicans being able to keep our country!”

Wasn't expecting them to say this part out loud.
