Water’s boiling point and freezing point depends on the pressure of the local atmosphere unfortunately! But I like your logic.

I’m with you, I’ve switched all my computers to Linux for similar reasons. I bought an android phone recently and put Linux on that, although still some things to iron out such as sound and microphone input but it’s working well otherwise. Looking forward to when I can ditch my iPhone.

I agree, we have got to stop bending to his will. I’m tired of being subject to the USA’s policy in Canada.

Alternative to NordVPN Meshnet?
It might not be what you’re looking for, but tailscale offers end points where you can use mulvad vpn in conjunction with your tailscale network, might be worth looking into! I use it and it works great.
Obligatory due to the sub we’re in. I don’t believe tailscale falls into the space of “self hosted”. You’d need to set up your own wireguard server for that.

I believe technically you can. But they will make it as inconvenient as possible. As someone who travels for work, I’ve accepted it as a necessary evil.

He’s effecting the change he’s been talking about for years, so yeah he’s going to make a video about it. I don’t believe he’s getting anything financial from this product at all.
I don’t think he’s sold out. He’s reviewing products just as he always has, this is just the first one he had a small hand in the development of.

There is an etiquette to not just copy and pasting from ChatGPT. The fact you couldn’t verify the code yourself is a bigger issue.
I understand you may have thought this may help, it really does not.

Take a look into PostMarketOS, they are the bleeding edge for Linux mobile development. You can search on their wiki if your phone is supported.
The other solutions listed might be more turn key but not close to mainline Linux. (Custom kernel, etc)

When did you start working around with Linux?
I first dipped my toes in when I was probably around 14, messed with Ubuntu and damn small Linux but that was about it. I stuck with Mac as I didn’t enjoy windows and needed something “mainstream” back then. It wasn’t until apple made hackintosh’s somewhat obsolete and Microsoft started cramming AI into windows that I made the switch. I now run NixOS on my gaming rig and personal laptop
