I haven’t seen bonds work like that (but I don’t doubt some do). The way they work around me is:
edit: my brain stopped working on point 4 as pointed out by @[email protected]

‘Haunted Mansion’ Extends Disney’s Box Office Cold Streak
The film may have suffered at the box office because of the actors’ strike…
Two sentences later:
The comedic horror movie received poor reviews.
Hmm… maybe it’s the lack of creativity and effort that caused the poor reception and not the strike by people just trying to be treated fairly. Just maybe…

What do you do if a cop approaches you and starts questioning you while you're sitting in your car in a public parking lot?
Reply in thread
Lol, no it doesn't and no don't do this. Especially don't do it on a "ghetto" looking van. This will make you even more of a target.
This moron has a PD sticker thinking we'll leave him alone. Obviously he's up to something.

A Texas company is suing Chicago after the city began penalizing buses that drop off migrants
Reply in thread
Lol, no he's making that up. Kidnapping does not have a 24 hour requirement. A person doesn't even need to be moved to be guilty of kidnaping: https://statutes.capitol.texas.gov/Docs/PE/htm/PE.20.htm
(2) "Abduct" means to restrain a person with intent to prevent his liberation by:
(A) secreting or holding him in a place where he is not likely to be found; or
(B) using or threatening to use deadly force.
Sec. 20.03. KIDNAPPING. (a) A person commits an offense if he intentionally or knowingly abducts another person.

Hackers force hospital system to take its national computer system offline
Reply in thread
Not saying these hackers are good in the least. But the sheer lack of basic security in a lot of hospitals and health services is enough to piss you off. Maybe THIS incident will encourage them to make some improvements.

Some Apple users say its parental controls aren't working properly. A CEO who has 4 kids called it 'frustrating.'

I had the same exact thought! BI definitely meant it as “This very smart and important person thinks this should change” but in reality what it really means is “this person who doesn’t understand technology thinks the software isn’t simple enough.”

Lemmy is slowly getting better

I completely agree. I’ve been hopping on in the morning and in the evening and I don’t feel like I’ve missed anything and I still feel like I’m contributing. The total opposite of how it was with Reddit.

Sound Off: How many 10+ year redditors have left the site?
Same username on reddit. Just over 10 years myself on that account plus another 2 or 3 with a prior account. Really enjoying Lemmy and like everyone has said already, it honestly does feel like reddit from 10 years ago. I had stopped using reddit much at all but I’m on Lemmy nearly every day like I used to be with reddit years ago.

Get the Logitech G600 and have essentially 24 buttons on the side (12 + a “shift” button to give each of those 12 a different command).
To be fair, I only use about 6 of those buttons, haha.
